Funeral director A.A. Wilbur founded our company and served the community from its first location at 204 E. Grand River Ave. in North Lansing. Subsequently, the business was acquired by Mr. Haite and Mr. Jarvis. Eventually, the latter partner was successor to the company interests, and the firm became know as the E. L. Jarvis Company.
In 1914, Floyd W. Estes purchased a half-interest in the funeral home. The facility was mainly a furniture store, with accommodations for funeral service. In 1923, a new building was erected at the present Lansing location to better meet the professional demands of the community. In 1941, an extensive addition was constructed, which more than doubled the space, to better serve the needs of a prosperous and growing community.

Our staff is available to assist you at the funeral home during business hours, by phone 24 hours per day, or by appointment. We can provide full information about funeral arrangements and costs. More and more people are planning their funerals or cremations in advance. No one likes to think about death, let alone plan for it. Discussing one's mortality is an extremely uncomfortable topic for many families. By procrastinating, family members are often not prepared emotionally or financially to make all the necessary decisions at one of life's most difficult times.
The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason, MI, will take place privately, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church and School, General Fund. There will be memorial service held 11:00 a.m.

There's a reason why people come here. We had my grandpas visitation here 5 years ago and now my mother. I just want to say Robert and Jeremy were amazing. After today I have the upmost respect for these guys. They accommodated my very large family and all our our crazy requests.
They were professional and even had a sense a humor. We even got a free guestbook and prayer cards. I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

Estes Leadley handled the funeral services for both of my parents. The funeral director was patient, compassionate, and always available to answer questions and make any changes I asked for. The viewings and funerals were as good as funerals can be. My parents looked as if they were sleeping peacefully. The staff were all friendly and helpful. If I ever need funeral services in Michigan again, I will definitely be calling Estes-Leadley. In addition, my ex-husbands family continues to use the services of Estes-Leadley for all of their funeral needs as well with nothing but positive things to say

They don’t even deserve 1 star. The way they mishandled my dads funeral Lance Lynch and his assistant should be in jail. They took his wedding ring and other jewelry off my dad and lied to my mom and said he was buried with it. The jewelry was later found in a desk drawer. They canceled my dads last alarm with the fire department and sent the fire trucks away. His interment was 3 hours away and we followed the cars. We arrived about 5 minutes after them. Estes was wonderful with us when my dad passed unexpectedly in 2012. They made the arrangements to bring him home from the Cleveland Clinic. They did not pressure us into anything and helped as a go between with the life insurance company. They also helped with obtaining death certificates for us. They were very compassionate. The same is true still. A few weeks ago they took care of once again with my grandmother's funeral.

Jeremy and his staff did the most wonderful job with my mother's funeral arrangements last week. My family worked with Estes-Leadley six years ago too for my father's funeral. Estes Leadly handled my dads funeral a quite while ago and I am finally getting around to giving them a review. I have been in the florist industry for a lot of years and have always been impressed with Steve, Jeremy, Paul and the rest of the gang at Estes but until I had them involved in a close family members passing did I realize how compassionate the entire staff and owners are. The building is lovely, the staff are professional. Nov 2007. Mr. Morgan seems to be a better business person than a funeral director. Pretty lacking in compassion. The ladies who work there are wonderful.
My husband died and I was given the guilt treatment. How much can one company press a person to buy more and more things they don't want or need? We had a nice service there but I did not like the playing of the MSU fight song the way it was done. I thought it would be a recording, but the unseen person on the organ was - quite frankly - awful. We cringed all the way through.
