Features of the Funeral Home facility include: A Chapel, two family rooms, Casket room, A Coffee Break Area and a couple of offices. This first generation funeral home is family owned and operated primarily Audrey and Tina Dixon.
Services
A funeral is an important part of the grieving process, and often the first step in the healing process. For thousands of years, funerals have been the preferred means of expressing grief and paying tribute to loved ones. When dealing with loss, pain and grief, there is no one solution that meets the needs of every individual.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning and pre-Arranging has prompted many to take steps to plan their own funeral arrangements.
There are two types of cremation. The first is known as a "Direct Cremation" whereby the funeral director picks up the deceased and takes them to the crematory to be cremated in an alternative container. No ceremony is performed. The ashes are returned to the next of kin. They can be scattered or placed in an urn or keepsake.
Dixon Funeral Home has a number of Insurance Companies that we represent for burial insurance. We have limited pay policies, whole life policies and graded benefit policies. Please feel free to contact the funeral home for one of our Insurance Agents to visit with you. Agents will come to your home for appointments.
