Working with Merrick Chase was an absolutely wonderful experience! I run an online organic superfood business and did an outdoor photo shoot for professional headshots. They turned out so beautiful and captured my true essence! I am pretty shy in front of a camera, but working with Merrick made me feel at ease and was so much fun! He has a gift! The idea of taking corporate headshots and portraits is uncomfortable for a lot of people, but Merrick has always made the experiences enjoyable, convenient and professional. The feedback from our employees has always been extremely positive in terms of the actual photoshoot itself and most importantly the end result... the photos themselves. He manages to remove the anxiety, self-doubt, and various other feelings one may get when a camera is pointed in their direction.

Merrick took professional headshots of me back in 2018. Two and a half years later, I started a new business and needed to use the headshots again, but realized I had lost access to the files. I called Merrick and he was very friendly and responsive - even remembered the photo shoot - and sent me the files right away! Merrick took professional photos for me when I started my new job. He was very friendly and easy to work with. He made me feel very comfortable during the session. I don't always enjoy having my picture taken, but Merrick made it fun! I was very pleased with the outcome of my pictures. I will definitely be going back to Merrick for all of my photography needs! Great experience overall. Merrick is not only an excellent, technically competent photographer but he combines technical ability with artistic vision. He was able to bring out the right expressions during our photo shoot. As a result, I received great proofs of my headshot with varying expressions which is exactly what I wanted.
In addition, proofs were delivered expeditiously in spite of Merrick's busy summer schedule.

I hired Merrick to take head shots of me for publication in an art magazine, to use on my website, and to have on hand for other publicity as an artist. As soon as he arrived at my house and began setting up his lights, the fun began. We hit it off right away, and the fact that I was laughing so much made the images spontaneous, light hearted, and energetic. There was no stiffness at all. The lighting was great, and the resulting portraits were awesome!

My husband and I met Merrick due to a professional business photo session. We enjoyed working with him so much that we hired him for our personal photo session. Neither of us consider ourselves "photogenic", but you could never tell that from Merrick's work. He made us both look great and made it fun and relaxing.
