Eager to learn English, I left my native Brazil, my career, my family, friends and landed in Australia. After living in the country for a few months I felt that I have changed so much, my view of life and the world was different. Realizing this, I refocused my profession to better align my values, and then I met the love of my life.
Together, we moved across the world to New York and lived there for 3 years, then almost 2 years in Los Angeles. Now, we just moved to Switzerland to start growing our family. I originally come from a background in advertising, however, in 2009 I fell in love with photography. I started out photographing architecture, fashion, and even motorcycle racing (which was very fun!).

The maternity photo session I offer is all about this magic moment in your life and it is about capturing it for you, for your child and for your family. You will be surprised by how easy (and enjoyable) it is to be in front of the camera when you have something so incredible and special to focus on: your baby.
Your baby will never be this little again: the way they look so small in your arms or curl up perfectly in your chest, their tiny little toes, and the gentle way that they breathe don't last very long. In the comfort of your home, the newborn lifestyle photography session will show them in their natural environment, wearing their own clothes (as well as some adorable accessories I bring).
Your baby is now looking at you, smiling, trying to reach out for things, and you have just realised how quickly it all goes. This is a magic phase to photograph your baby. The baby & child photography session takes place either in the comfort of your home or at my home studio and will show them in their natural environment.

It is such a great honour to be asked to create images of a baby's first moments with their family and it is because of this that babies are always prioritized on my calendar. Because my style focuses on natural and baby-led posing, there is no set timeframe for these sessions. Most of the newborns that I photograph are within the first 3-6 weeks after birth.

I was looking for a maternity photographer and discovered Christiane through Instagram. She actually lives in CA, but had sessions booked in NY/NJ which she was already coming for; so it kind of seemed like fate that she'd be the one to capture this moment for us. She provided us amazing guidance before, during and after the shoot. During the shoot, she made it so that we were comfortable, relaxed, and most importantly, having fun! At no point did I ever feel awkward or unsure; she was so helpful and transparent. She explained what she was doing every step of the way and provided great guidance

First I hired Chris for my pregnancy photoshoot, it was the first time my husband and I would be "posing" for a photographer. Chris was very sweet and made us relaxed and extremely comfortable with the camera. We had a great time registering the special moment we were living. After giving birth I decided to call Chris again and have her over to eternalize the beginning of a new journey with our daughter in our arms.
