You can help with your child's daily oral care at home, in addition to scheduling regular dental visits. DFK works with our patients on preventive services. Use dental floss or floss picks to remove plaque between teeth and under the gum line where a toothbrush can't reach. Healthy eating habits lead to healthy teeth.
Dentistry for Kids places composite (white) fillings on anterior and posterior teeth. When needed, we also place crowns on primary and permanent teeth. Sometimes when a large cavity is present it is also necessary to perform a pulpotomy (nerve treatment) prior to placing the filling. We provide cosmetic bonding and veneers to anterior teeth to replace missing tooth structure or to improve the esthetics of the teeth.

I have two children who were seen in the Monroeville location. One needed a very small filling to fill a hole in her tooth due to a birth defect and did not need any type of anesthetic. She was 3 years and the staff did a good job at making sure she was comfortable. However, we still paid a very large fee on top of what our insurance paid for a procedure that took less then ten minutes. As a child, the dentist was something I feared. DFK made our children’s dental experience so pleasant! I have never felt so welcomed and taken care of. I love the atmosphere and everyone is so kind! Highly recommend especially for little ones who may be scared. My 2 kids enjoyed their time at the dentist and that is huge! ❤️

I used to go here and it was a lot of fun! The staff is super friendly and makes the kids feel comfortable. They always take there time with everything and give the kids stickers, toothbrushes and other goodies once they are done. Kids can also play with toys, watch tv, or play in the arcade well waiting. -1 star because one of the staff wasn't as friendly as the rest but I'd recommend coming here!

Dentistry for Kids is an amazing place! My 4 yr old has to have some dental work done and the doctor and entire staff were more than helpful answering all my questions and really made me feel at ease. They explained what would happen from start to finish and even gave me options for financing. My daughter loves going there and I trust them all!

My daughter is downs syndrome and autistic and has been seeing Dr. Jackson at Dentistry For Kids 30 years. He and his staff are unbelievably kind and patient with my her. She is accustom to having have her teeth cleaned now but at the beginning it was vert difficult because she was frightened and did not understand what was happening. Dr. Jackson's kindness and gentleness won her over. I highly recommend Dentistry For Kids to any parent because everyone on their staff is wonderful and knows how to make children feel comfortable having their teeth cleaned.

I took my daughter to get her teeth removed the gas didn’t work it was a mess they took impressions for a flipper decided to go else where for the removal ... I paid for the flipper only to find out they never sent it when the teeth were removed when I called to get an appointment to have it placed ... fast forward get the flipper take her in… doesn’t fit decoded to eat the refund and can’t get it the office is a joke office staff are of no help because no manager is available and no refunds unless it’s a Thursday are you freaking kidding me it’s been over a

Please be aware they might send you surprise bill after visiting. Before I took my 2 kids there, I called twice and provided all the insurance information and medical history of dentistry. They've confirmed that the visit (cleaning + annual visit) would be all covered by my insurance. But I received a bill with $114 after a month. I called them and was told it was new patient fee, $57 per kid. This was the 4th children's dentist offices we've used, as we have moved multiple times in the last 5 years. Thank you Dr. Katie and Rosa! My son had given these two wonderful people quite a time (3 cavities to be filled) and they did a fantastic job! He was upset ( understatement ) but they worked quickly and calmly ( nothing I could have ever done) and got him fixed up!
Though I'm thrilled that's over and so is my son- I am grateful for how they were able to manage my inconsolable little guy with so much patience.

My 5.5 year old daughter recently had a tooth ache from a previous cavity. I made an appointment with Dr.Katie and that was a mistake! Our visit started with the hygienist who was far from compassionate. My daughter was nervous so I was trying to give her a peep talk and all she could do was question me on why I was babying her. I would 1000% recommend this place for your kids. Everyone from the reception staff to the Dentists were extremely friendly and very helpful. We did not feel rushed, like at most providers, and they allowed us to explain the situation and they talked through everything. They understood our son's anxiety issues and made him feel comfortable and welcome. I wish we would have found DFK sooner.

My daughter is almost 4 and this was her first dentist. From start to finish I was impressed. The ability to download and complete the new patient forms in advance of our visit was great. When we arrived I liked the multiple small waiting rooms with toys and video games for different ages. The receptionist was very polite. The dental hygienist was simply amazing. Did not like this place. Yes I'm a picky person. So what? I'm reasonable too. I feel like patients especially children need quality time and understanding . We were rushed!! My toddler's cleaning went super fast like she barely cleaned his teeth..I think she (the hygienist)didn't even touch his molars. Imagine we forgot his bag which had a toothbrush n a couple stickers cuz we were stormed out of there.
