Worst place ever. I went this morning to get a haircut and saw Beth. She had me out the door within 15 minutes after getting shampooed. I asked her to slow down and take her time to which she replied, “people who know what they are doing don’t go slow.” She only blow dried my bangs and rushed me out the door asking for me to write a good review. I came home to discover the most choppy layers and she left one side of my hair 3 inches shorter than the other. I came back same day and was rushed out again by her after she snipped the longer pieces in less than 2 minutes while I stood in the door

I'm honestly in complete shock. I went to this salon expecting a great experience considering all the wonderful reviews. I went in for a keratin treatment, additional charges were expected due to my type of hair. But at certain points it felt some charges were excessive.
Then after I agreeing to a haircut before the keratin, I started to get a bad feeling and decided to reschedule. I finished my haircut, after I arrived home I discovered the entire back of my hair was horribly uneven. Parts were clearly different lengths. It looked terrible, I had to pay to go to another salon asap to fix it.

Bigtime, rip off. Stay away; this is no joking. The owner doesn’t know what is doing, unprofessional service, lacking skills, incompetent prices … I feel sorry for the employees that work there, they look good people.

I called the salon because they're offering a Groupon service and I wanted to try them out because they're so close to home. The receptionist was not kind whatsoever, she went ahead and asked the hairdresser Beth when I can come in if I can come in today, Beth's response was just NO.. she actually took the phone and said Hello No Groupon today and didnt bother to say anything else. My response was I'm not interested in this kind of service. And she hung up on me. This place is not friendly st all. I just saw the reviews now on yelp no wonder they only have two stars

Today I found a $16.40 Groupon deal for a hair cut and Moroccan oil treatment ending tomorrow 5/28. I called first. She told me on the phone the deal is based on the length of my hair. I told her it is short. She agreed I can pay them directly. I'm not sure why I never posted a review but here it is.. I went to get laser hair removal. Maribel (or whatever her name was) was very annoyed when I wasn't shaved on the first day. She did not explain to me much during the consultations yet she was annoyed with me. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME getting laser hair removal. I had to run to the pharmacy to buy razors and shave in the bathroom. She then accused me of not cleaning after myself even though I did. The owner Is racist asf and she made me pay tip before service because I am Hispanic and also she treats her employees very bad because they are Hispanic aswell I will never came back...

I really don't understand the owner, she seriously had the worst customer service ever UNBELIEVABLE. She made me pay before the service was even done, after I just seen everyone pay after the service. On top of that she made me pay tip before the service like I truly believe it was because of the color or ethnicity. Because she was being really rude to the Hispanic workers. Do not recommend for that reason. Disappointed and dissatisfied .

Don't bother coming, they are very unfair with how they treat their customers, I believe it was the owner who was the problem. The workers there were nice and it was fine until I got to communicate with the owner. It was unprofessional and made me never want to go back. save your money and time

I have had Cynthia blow dry my hair twice and it’s beautiful! This salon is always friendly and they do a great job. Very reasonable prices also!

I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal, they extended the expiration due to covid and it expired 10/9/2020. I called to see what I could do with my expired voucher and the lady said, "oh we don't do that anymore because of covid" and hung up on me. I understand I'm fully responsible for it being expired and feel like any other service could have been offered. I could of been a customer but they clearly don't want new clients.

Just moved to the area and looked for good Google ratings on salons. Super glad I choose Universal! Beth is the sweetest and most helpful stylist I've been to in Miami. My little one loves her new hair cut. All the ladies in the Salon are very friendly. I am very picky about how my husband gets his hair cut and they did a fabulous job with him too.

If you are looking for the BEST place to go get your HAIR cut or blow dried this is for sure it. The hair washing is so relaxing the customer service is Very friendly. Beth and Liz are GREAT stylists. The pricing is also excellent. What more could you ask for. His place is a gem. Cleanest Salon and they are following all the new normal ways to keep you and them safe.

I came in because I saw they had a Groupon offer $18 for haircut and morroccon oil treatment. I called them before purchasing the Groupon to make sure they had the appt time I wanted and the lady told me I could just pay them directly instead of purchasing the Groupon. These are total professionals.
Literally, if you read a bad review, please do yourself a favor and call the salon for back story!!
Because girl, there are some pretty good stories that go with these bad comments.

I am unbelievably disappointed with the treatment I received and aftermath of my hair!!! I have been in tears since I left the salon. I now have to cut my entire hair off due to 4 huge knots that were formed in my head after a simple wash! I am so confused on why this has happened! Prior to entering the salon my hair WAS NOT KNOTTED AT ALL! I had mouse in my hair and was told I will need a wash. I have always had mousse in my hair and the owner said the products caused the knots!! I have always had product buildup and a simple wash always did the job! NO KNOTS!!! They were reckless and careless

Actually love my haircut but beware that this salon will deter you from using your Groupon by charging you more on the back end. I was charged $40 for a blow dry alone. After questioning it extensively she dropped it to $35!!

I went in and they wash my hair and put the "Moroccan Oil Treatment" only its not Moroccan Oil because I use their shampoo and conditioner and I recognize the smell right away. I started comimg here two years ago during the Keratin Groupon special and I'm in LOVE with the quality, services, and prices. I come every three months for a haircut and keratin and I wouldn't think of going somewhere else. Typically Erika does my treatment and haircut, she's amazing and so its Liz. Love both of them. Not sure about the laser hair removal they offer as I haven't heard many positive things about that service. Thank you for being so lovely ladies!

I made an appointment and it was with the manager so I was excited to get a good haircut. I walk in, was walked to the back to wash my hair and in a snap I was in the hair cutting chair. This lady (the manager: Lizzy) was rushing my haircut so much. I would understand if I was a "walk in" but i made an appointment because I have a lot of hair and a hair cut should never be rushed with any hair type.

She started cutting my hair and bangs and it looked good until she blew it out. When she finished she said "look how beautiful" and I said "wait. No. This is totally uneven

Service was great, from the manager and wonderful from the lady who did my nails.

I enjoyed seating on their recyclable chair as I got a massage.

Bought a Groupon for a partial highlight and THANK GOD I DID AND SAVED 50% because the job that i had done was terrible!! First of all i was a new client, i was never greeted or offered even a glass of water! The stylist Erika was rude, unfriendly, and gave me a rushed job! My highlights are orange! FIRST CLASS Salon!! THE BEST!! My friends and I have been coming here for many years now, and have never been disappointed. We always leave feeling great! The staff is kind, courteous, knowledgeable and they truly care about their clients. I have always been greeted with a smile and never had to wait more than a few minutes. I had two different services in this salon and both were a very bad experience. The first service was a regular manicure which was done horribly and I didn't get my pedicure done because the lady kept complaining about how much she disliked doing pedicures. So naturally I declined a pedicure that day.
