I contacted Peterson and Peterson 3 weeks (March 22nd) prior to tax day. All I need done was a simple 1040 return with no itemization. They were referred through a friend and I trusted that they could complete this simple task. First, Trey Peterson did not listen to the simple fact that I was divorced in September of 2018. Secondly and most importantly, he notified me on April 14th that I would need to claim 1/2 of my ex's income, even though he had moved out in March of 2018 (and took his income with him). The IRS disagrees. Mr. Peterson declined to file my taxes for me. My taxes ended up being
