Earhart Overstreet

Ryan and David graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law together in 1999. For the next 16 years, both worked at large defense firms and became successful partners at each of those firms. Moving forward to create their own firm and apply their skills in a smaller, more focused, client-centric atmosphere became the next step.

In his nearly 20 years of practice, Ryan has represented parties in a wide variety of matters and attained considerable litigation experience. He spends a substantial part of his time representing parties in construction disputes, including owners, designers, contractors, and material suppliers. He also drafts contracts, liens, and other transactional documentation.

Steve is an experienced litigator representing clients in a broad array of practice areas. Steve's litigation practice involves representation of businesses of all sizes, from large institutional clients, private equity funds, and developers, to family owned small businesses and start-ups in all aspects of litigation including partnership disputes, contract matters, and trade secret and employment litigation.

She was raised in Charleston. After graduation from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Edgar W. Dickson in the Court of Common Pleas of South Carolina. During her time as a Judicial clerk, Elizabeth worked closely with the Court on all aspects of pre-trial and trial practice. Her experience in the courtroom was invaluable to her transfer into private practice.

We have significant experience representing professionals in complex malpractice actions, including attorneys, accountants, brokers, and others. We also represent professionals in disciplinary actions. The lawyers at the firm consistently represent professionals in circuit and federal court all over the state of South Carolina.
