Our team at Norton Health Law is led by Founding Attorney Beth Norton, a multitalented legal representative with many years of experience helping Virginians with their healthcare needs. Our philosophy rests on the idea that great healthcare sometimes requires great legal representation. As a patient, you have rights when you receive medical care, submit insurance claims, or seek compensation for injuries incurred at work.
Beth was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in the town of Great Bridge in Chesapeake, Virginia. After high school, Beth attended and graduated from nursing school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she began her career as a cardiac nurse at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital. During that time, Beth had two daughters, Cori and Cameron.

It’s hard to find adequate words to explain how blessed we were to find Beth Norton and to describe how essential she was in the battle we fought to finally win disability benefits for a family member. This process took some time and parts of it were truly difficult but we wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. Besides the knowledgable and hard working parts of her job, she was so patient and kind to all of us. She truly cares for people and we could feel that. I came to Beth Norton Health Law at my wits end. My health insurance was denying me the Proton Radiation Therapy that my doctors said was the only kind I should have, claiming it "wasn't medically necessary". I had exhausted all the internal appeals through the Insurance Co. The next option, that is your right to have, is to request an External Review outside of the insurance Co. Beth is very knowledgeable about the External Review process, and thank goodness I had her to speak on my behalf! Beth was kind, empathetic and listened to everything I presented to her. And I brought EVERYTHING for her

Beth Norton helped me and my brother navigate my father's estate after his passing. We had no idea where to start and she stepped right in and guided us through the entire process.
