Depot Grill
The Depot Grill has been a family owned and operated restaurant in Twin Falls since 1907, and the Soran family has owned the restaurant since 1957. We cook homemade comfort foods, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All our hamburgers are made with our own beef, cut and ground in-house. Our homemade soups, chicken fried steaks, and pies are just a few customer favorites.

The Grill, as many people call us, offers reasonably priced meals and weekly specials. Ask our staff about the Train Wreck challenge, involving a very tall stack of pancakes! We are open 24 hours a day Monday through Saturday, and until 9pm on Sundays. The Depot Grill also offers catering for weddings and other events, picnic service, and carry out.

The Depot Grill. Been driving by for years on our southern shopping trips to TF and finally stopped by today. Had a burger with mushrooms, grilled, onions and swiss, chicken noodle soup while my daughter had a Corned Beef sando and a salad. Finished it off with a couple of slices of pie. It was great food at a reasonable price served wonderfully by Lyndsay. Heck, even the ice tea was flavorful. Will be back for the Famous Golden Glow Fried Chicken with the rest of the family. Make the trek downtown to the Depot Grill - you won't be disappointed.

We had Amber as our waitress this weekend and she did an excellent job! She did such a good job I meant to write this that day and found my way here half way through the week to give her the recognition she deserves. The kitchen was amazing as well fastest food out of the kitchen compared to any breakfast place we have been in twin so far! Definitely a few good reasons they have been in business for over 100 years and we will be back! Thank you for the good food and experience!

Warm, friendly, delicious homemade comfort food. Service with a smile. The gravy for the hot turkey special -- they offer a choice of two kinds -- is addictive. The fries are better than most fast food including McDonald's, and the scratch-made fruit pies are worth saving room for.

Passing through twin falls on our road trip and found this local gem and wow the food was amazing. The steak special my hubby got was the best steak I've ever had from a restaurant my dad isn't the chef at. The fish and chips was amazing, the tarter sauce was some of the best I've ever had. The cheese omelette and hash browns were delicious that our family member had. Portions were big, we have plenty of leftovers for dinner later tonight.

Lunch. Geez. Tried based on the idea that this was going to be a old school restaurant/diner.
Nope. Service was prompt and friendly- soup was warm.
My chili dog was very disappointing. Hot dog was a cheap Walmart type and stone cold. Smothered in chili that could have been tasty except it too was stone cold.

Ever since we moved to the armpit of Idaho, we started searching for one small beacon of light to offset the sheer pain of being stuck here in Twin Falls.
The Depot is that beacon.
Prompt, and attentive servers.
We all have bad days, we all go through death, divorce, fights on the home front. Whatever. It’s life. As much as we’ve been here? One would expect to see some element of home-front strife in any of our assorted servers. You’ll see it in some of my other reviews. Life happens, and it occasionally manifests on your server.
Never. NEVER, has that been here.
Always cheery. Always

Very friendly atmosphere with the hometown feel. They make all welcome. Big selection of breakfast items on the menu Including a variety of omelettes. They have two types of gravy in the offering, pepper gravy and sausage gravy. You will not be disappointed. Come hungry.

I came here on a Tuesday night to dominate the train wreck challenge. The food challenge consists of 6 massive 12" pancakes, 4 eggs, and a pound of sausage. After a quick picture I was told that I had to start immediately, the pancakes were excruciatingly hot and I burned my mouth. I was able to take this large challenge down in 17 minutes. They gave me a t-shirt and the meal for free. I asked my waitress what they had for desert and she got me a free apple pie with ice cream. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and food at this restaurant and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

My new favorite place in Twin! My biscuits and gravy was huge and delicious. The gravy had nice bits of sausage and was velvety with a nice savory sage flavor. The biscuits were fresh and tender.
My son's pancakes were light and tender, pleasantly sweet with vanilla and definitely homemade, not from some plaster like mix.
Husband had the ham and eggs with a nice hand slice and hash browns and beautiful rye toast.

The service is very pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere soothes some weird aching nostalgia I have had for restaurants that don't exist anymore.

I highly recommend

Food and service is hands down a 5 star. Unfortunately, only giving a 3 star since there is a pandemic happening and no one in this establishment is taking it seriously.Waitresses ask "is it okay if I don't wear my mask?" Like that's supposed to make anyone comfortable. This place has made no real effort to establish safe social distancing or have any guidelines in place to stop the spread of the virus.

Our Sunday morning breakfast date spot. The chicken fried steak is huge and never disappoints nor leaves you without leftovers. The ladies are always friendly and treat you like family. Bottomless coffee and comfy atmosphere.

Had an order to go. Standing waiting HE waited on people behind me. Food was cold and the burger was so small I threw 1/3 of the bun away. Sorry girls not your fault.

Our family stopped in on our way to Boise. The restaurant doesn't quite look like much from the outside. Inside everyone was warm and friendly. The food tasted fresh and homemade. The coffee was very good. We look forward to going again. Smiles and warmth throughout. Very nice. Very happy.

This was a great late night stop. We got fried chicken and french toast. The service was 100% friendly, bacon with the French toast was amazing and fried chicken was worth the wait. I now understand the hype of this 24 hour diner. It's just a neat place and they execute well.

If your looking for a non-fast food restaurant this would be a place to go. This is an awesome restaurant to go to! Half of my family and I went up there for lunch, and the food was amazing. Our waitress was super nice, to us. She was super joyful, nice and had lots of patience. I got a hot dog and it was on a hamburger bun. Wow never seen anything like it. My mom said those where the best fries in the world that she'd ever had. Definitely will go here again!

I wanted to like this divey diner, but I wasn't a fan. Fried chicken, while hot and moist, tasted of dirty oil and not much else beyond that. I'd guess it is broasted, but that oil was toasted. Womp, womp, womp.

Very disappointed! We have been coming here for many years. But will be going elsewhere from now on! Ordered a Ruben sandwich. It was cold, and soggy! Orderd coffee and had to flag the waitress down several times! Really a BIG disappointment!

Came for a business lunch. They had a buffet offering which I didn't try but it seemed popular. I had a small chef salad with blue cheese dressing. This was plenty of food for me. One of my colleagues had an omelet since breakfast is served all day which he seemed to enjoy.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. We always had full drinks. The decor was dated and our booth seats needed some attention. The padding was sunken in the middle which created a lump at the knee area which raised my feet up so I could not reach the ground.

Great stop for a quaint diner atmosphere.
