The one who always had a camera, Dan began taking pictures in college. With encouragement from friends, he ventured out and fostered a love for landscape and architecture photography. His first sets of prints that he sold were from the U of M campus in the Bookstore. Karin always loved photography and especially people, so when they met, the two passions combined and DnK Photography was born.

I've used DnK Photography for newborn photos as well as family portraits the past 4 years. Karin is a fantastic photographer and always captures superb images, giving us a good mix of images to choose from. Her personality is relaxed, and this ensures a fun photo session for the kids. We've done sessions at home, their studio, parks, museum, and even with extended family. Every time the session has gone well, and we are very pleased with the results. They're professional, have a high attention to detail, and a quick turn-around time. I highly recommend them.

Dan and Karin did an incredible job photographing our April 2017 wedding. Not only are they both extremely talented, but they were a pleasure to spend our day with. They focused on getting the shots that were most important to us, which we really appreciated. Our venue has very limited light, but Dan and Karin handled it like pros and our photos look amazing. Incredible service and quality, need i say more!?
Dan worked with me and my SO other on valentine's day to take pictures of us, he personally took time out of his day to meet us, i even told him that we were running late (1 hour prior to the meet up time), and he was still extremely helpful /understanding. Thanks Dan, for an amazing job, we are both very happy with the pics!!!

We used Karin and Dan for photos of our newborn son, and we could not be happier with the photos- they are so beautiful! The images perfectly captured just how beautiful and precious he is to us. Karin was so professional in working with our newborn, and it's obvious she knows how to handle babies and pose them perfectly. Both Karin and Dan are so personable, and we had fun chatting with them during the newborn session. They were also very responsive to our emails and quickly answered any questions. Not only are Dan and Karin complete professionals in their quality of photography, their attention to details is amazing! It is incredible having these two because they knew exactly where to be to create the best photos. My husband and I have had 3 sessions with them, including our wedding day, and I wouldn't go to anyone else. Along with the results being beyond what I dreamed, they are the nicest people in the world. It was FUN to spend time with them and have them with us all day long. You will not regret booking them!!

Who needs a wedding planner when you have phenomenal photographers?! DnK Photography did our engagement pictures and wedding photography, and we were extremely impressed with their organization, attention to detail, kindness, and amazing skills. Months before the wedding Karin worked with me to plan the wedding weekend itinerary, making sure each event would run smoothly. On the wedding day she made sure each girl's hair and makeup would photograph perfect before we left the salon. Dan's planning and attention to detail with each photograph they took was amazing. DnK took pictures of our two daughters, one 6 months the other 2yrs. Karin was amazing with the kids even though our 2yr old was less then cooperative. She was animated and fun for the kids. The pictures turned out amazing and really captured each of our girls personalities. We recommend them to anyone looking for a great family photographer. Looking forward to another great session in a few months.

When looking for a wedding photographer I wanted to find pictures that I connected with. I ran across DnK's website. I hadn't seen their advertisements, or website or rankings on wedding sites, so I was a half heartily looking at their pictures, but I fell in love with their photos. That was in 2010, they've been nominated for all sorts of stuff now because they deserve it!

Dan and Karin are not only amazing photographers but amazing people. We had a great experience working with them. We had our engagement photos taken with them and our wedding as well. Throughout the entire process we were impressed by their professionalism and timely responses, and their amazing photography skills. We decided for our wedding day to do the all day coverage, which was one of the best decisions that we made throughout the entire wedding planing process. DnK was great! Very responsive and had a lot of wonderful ideas! They even reminded me of some of the posing ideas I had previously, but forgot about! Wonderful to work with and a job to have at our wedding! And of course, our pictures turned out amazing. We had fireworks and even the firework company wanted to use one of the photos for their brouchure!
