Services
Carver Family Dentistry aims to provide individuals with a comfortable and relaxing environment where we strive to exceed your expectations through professional results and our friendly staff. Dr. Carver grew up in Williamstown and graduated from Mt. Greylock Regional High School in 1995. After her BS from Davidson College in 1999 she continued on to UCONN School of Dental Medicine where she received her doctorate in 2003.
Maintaining your oral health is an important component of your overall health. There has been a lot of research linking oral disease to a number of other diseases including cardiac disease and diabetes. Your first step is to have regular checkups. The ADA recommends cleanings every 6 months if you've never had gum problems or more frequently depending on your specific oral disease risk.
Show areas of decay that your dentist may not be able to see with just a visual examination, such as tiny pits of decay that might occur between teeth or decay that is developing underneath an existing filling or crown. Help your dentist plan, prepare and place tooth implants, orthodontic treatments, dentures or other dental work.
Silver-colored fillings or dental amalgams are known to contain approximately 50% mercury. Mercury is continuously emitted from these filling materials and even intensified by chewing, grinding, or brushing your teeth! The mercury is then absorbed and retained by the body and can lead to a number of health risks.
Crowns or caps are used to completely cover a tooth after a fracture or root canal. Often times a tooth with a large filling is weakened after years of use and can crack causing pain upon chewing or loss of a significant amount of tooth structure. In order to save the tooth, it will be reduced by approximately 2mm on all sides, enough so a new porcelain crown can be placed over without altering the existing bite.

When choosing a dentist be warned that this office now operates as a holistic dentist, a change that was made without giving any notice to existing patients. I went in with a dental emergency and extremely in pain from what I thought was a root canal that ended up being a fractured root to be referred out, have dr. Carver refuse to even pull the tooth and send me on my way with a bag of Chinese herbs and some other homeopathic remedy that she litterally tested my grip of my fingers to prescribe the dose. I had to go to urgent care to get an antibiotic. What made things worse was when I came into

She did an extraction because my root canal that she just put a bridge on had a crack that happened during the bridge procedure. That she did. So she did not charge me for the extraction. And told me she does not do partials. Which was not true found out after a client of hers had a partial done through carvers office. Also she did not send a claim into my insurance. Hmm maybe because of the missing tooth clause. So not only did I pay a lot of money for my bridge work. I now have to pay for all of my partial. So yeah. Have had other friends that have left there office for other reasons.

When I described to Rachaele my 6 weeks of severely congested ears that had led me to near-deafness, I didn't expect her, a dentist, to have an answer for me. But she did. After two ozone treatments, the left ear is back online and the right ear is beginning to clear. It's returning me to pleasurable engagement with life when nothing else had helped me. I am so grateful.

I've been going to Dr Carver's office for the past two years, and can't say enough good things about them. The entire staff is kind, gentle and caring. Their appreciation for alternative approaches and detoxing is so refreshing. Highly recommended.
