A yearly physical examination, also known as Preventive Medicine exams for adults are essential for many reasons. It helps to determine and record how the body is functioning. It gives the physician an opportunity to get a full history of the patient's health. The doctors at Westchester Health Center will perform the essential tests to evaluate the patient's health status.
An electrocardiogram, sometimes abbreviated as EKG or ECG is a test that checks for issues with the electrical activity of your heart. The machine translates the heart's electrical activity onto tracings on paper. The dips and spikes created on the tracings are called waves which are then read by a doctor to give a proper diagnosis.
Most surgeons require that their patients get "medical clearance" from their primary care provider before their planned surgery date. Preoperative exams are a set of tests that screen for any condition that may prevent the upcoming surgery. They can identify numerous conditions such as anemia, infections, respiratory problems and possible heart conditions that need to be addressed to reduce risk during your surgery.

Very knowledgeable and professional. Takes her time during your visit and answers all of your questions. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Fox Medical Center has been my primary care for the past 2 years and every visit is welcoming with warm smiles. Service is exceptional and never have to sit around waiting. I have been seeing Dr. Fox for almost six years now. He is a breath of fresh air! He truly cares for his patients, he is down to earth, he has a good sense of humor (laughter is good medicine!) and he doesn't throw medicine at his patients.
His staff is also excellent. They don't overbook, so you can see him in a timely fashion. I am so thankful for his medical knowledge and, again, how he feels about his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gregory Fox and coming to this center for over 19 years. Dr. Fox is an amazing physician, takes his time with the patients and I can get an appointment quickly. The Staff at Fox Medical Center are always very helpful and nice and empathetic to my needs as a patient. From the moment I am greeted by Crystal and to lisette in Triage asking about any changes in my health. I’ve been coming to Westchester Health Center for a couple of years now and I’ve been fortunate to have Dr.Gem as my doctor. She’s very attentive, professional and spends enough time to explain everything in a way to make sure I understand. Both of my parents have also been under her care and they love they way she goes about treating them and making sure they stay healthy. Her nurse Lissette is also very kind and has taken great care during my office visits.
