We love old photographs! Our collection includes early Tevis Cup (a one day 100 mile horse race from Squaw Valley, California to Auburn, California, which began in 1955), old U.S. Hwy. 40, the Lincoln Highway which preceded U.S. Hwy. 40), the historic Gold Country (the area in Northern California where gold was discovered in the 1840's) as well as other very unique and rare photographs.

In addition to our photographs, we have an extensive collection of old postcards, which make a great presentation when enlarged and framed. We have photos on a wide variety of other subjects, including mining, bridges, surveying, aerials, trains, etc. Whatever you have in mind, we want you to know we are all about quality of our product and satisfying our customer.
Services
We are Mike and Janet Virgil of Auburn Photography. Mike's introduction to photography was in 1956, when, at the age of 13, he took his parents' Kodak box camera and started shooting photos on their ranch in Loomis, California. When he saw the developed prints, his love affair with photography began.
The photos below are just a small sample of our extensive library of documentary, archival, historic, and contemporary photographs. We've been taking photographs in and around Northern California on a wide variety of subjects for nearly 50 years and we've been collecting old photos almost that long.
