Services
Columbiaville's first funeral home was first established in 1909 by Fred Carl, the town jeweler. At that time the funeral home was located in a brick building on First Street where the local doctor, Dr. Chapin, also maintained his medical practice. In May of 1935, Ray McPherson purchased the funeral home then moved the business to the former Dr. Conley residence two years later.
Our funeral home staff is comprised of many familiar faces throughout the communities we serve. Many family and friends find great comfort when greeted at the door by a friend, past co-worker or neighbor. That's just one of the many positive attributes that make up Jansen Family Funeral Home's commitment to service.
As you step inside the elegant leaded glass doors, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will assist you with your coat and direct you to the guest register book. The front entry foyer offers plenty of room for family and friends to gather and share fond memories. Our spacious chapel is tastefully decorated and we can seat up to 215 guests on the day of services.
At Jansen Family Funeral Home we like to offer an opportunity for you to ask us any questions that you may have about funerals, funeral planning or a current / past service that we provided. Your questions will remain confidential and we will only contact you by your preferred method. You may also feel free to contact us directly, in person or by phone, any time of the day.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.
