With 40 years of Taekwondo experience, we have developed a program with all the right tools to help your child Achieve Certain Victory in life, one goal at a time. We continuously advance our classes with the most up-to-date coordination and agility-building drills, all while keeping our classes fun and motivating.
Today's world is very different than it was 15, 20, 30 years ago. With stricter schools, a shortage of safe places outside of home where teens can satisfy their independence, and an abundance of youth that are more aggressive and disrespectful; it's easy for a teen to find that they're walking down the wrong path.
In our after school martial arts program, students develop the skills needed to become positive, social leaders. With our low student to instructor ratio, you can feel positive that your child isn't just a number in our program. All of our TKD instructor are professionally trained and hold their positions in high regard.

I had always passed by this dojo growing up and always wanted to attend or have one of my children attend. Fast forward 20 years and the dojo is still in place. Luckily, I was able to conceive a child and was able to enroll him in taekwondo. My son loves it here and the teachers are so welcoming. Communication and respect are phenomenal. They make everyone feel like they are family here. If you have the ability to train or bring your children. I would highly recommend it. It is great for adult and children!

I originally signed up with my brother when i was in middle school and he was in elementary, and we have now earned our second degree black belts. Mrs. Martinez creates a class environment that is discipline but a space where we can have fun and grow not only our muscles and abilities but our minds as well. After four years i have become a teacher and i learn something new everyday. The experiences i have gained from Korea America Taekwondo Academy are insurmountable. My mom has also joined TKD as a way for us to bond, we also enjoy the woman's fitness class, which furthers Mrs.Martinez's lessons

The martial arts, discipline, and leadership skills taught here by Master Kathy Martinez are second to none. I was a student 16 years ago in middle and high school. I returned this year and the standards have not changed, the classes have only gotten better.
I used to attend the junior classes and the summer school program, eventually assisting with the summer and after school program. Korea-America Taekwondo Academy is by far the best in San Antonio! I love this place so much that I now teach at this studio. The curriculum is content filled but also a very great, fun, and overall outstanding environment. There are always plenty of student teachers who help out and guide others to reach their goals. The head teachers to a fantastic job of keeping drills, exciting, and yet challenging for the kids! As far as the adult class goes it is a great workout! When we first moved to San Antonio from New York, I was looking for a very traditional martial arts school for my son. Initially I was looking at Karate schools, since that is my own background, but I hadn't found any I really liked. At the recommendation of a number of folks in my neighborhood, I visited Korea America TKD and found exactly what I was looking for! The style is Korean, obviously, but it's not so far off from my own experience that I'm lost and can't practice with my son.

My whole family can vouch for this place. We had tried out other martial arts schools in the other areas where we've lived but Korea American Taekwondo classes are the best! The instructors and students are all so helpful and supportive. Our son has been doing karate classes since he could walk and he has been coming here for a little over two years now and it has really helped him with his confidence and focus (and our schedule with their after school care program). They not only teach martial arts lessons but values like responsibility, teamwork and respect that will not only help him protect

My kids and I have trained at Korea America Taekwondo Academy for many years and we wouldn't go anywhere else. My son and I have earned black belts and my daughter has earned brown at this studio. The sensei's and instructors are outstanding teachers and my kids have learned to follow directions and be respectful to others as well as self defense techniques and stranger danger awareness during the martial arts lessons and after school care. Excellent martial arts academy, great classes and friendly environment to learn karate. This place has an impressive ratio of instructors to students and I recommend this martial arts school to anyone that wants to train and have fun while getting fit and learning self defense classes at the same time. Their sword fighting hapkido class and martial arts lessons have taught me to be a better fighter, their personal trainers and physical fitness program has made my wife fitter and given her more self esteem and energy and their martial arts classes for our kids have made them more outgoing and willing
