Since 1864 the Whitehead family has been business owners in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Our family has been operating a construction business for the past 80 years. We have built over 600 homes, mostly on the barrier islands. In 1980 Brent Whitehead took over as President of Whitehead Construction.
Brent and his staff hold degrees in structural, industrial and design engineering along with architectural building construction. Our services can be as minimal as providing advice and council prior to purchase of property and can be as complete as finishing all of the drawing, applications, and negotiations with the DEP. We have provided these services for hundreds of customers and have managed a 100% success rate in obtaining the permit the customer expected to receive.

LoveServes International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is positively affecting the poorest villages in the Dominican Republic, changing the lives of adults, youth and children by training local pastors to equip the members of their own congregations to do the ministry (Ephesians 4:12) and transform their communities.

I am going to write a very positive review for Whitehead Construction, but it is with a lot of ambivalence since I want them to build my next house before all you folks reading this review employ them to build your house.
Seriously, Brent is a person of great integrity as well as being the most accomplished builder imaginable. His interactions with everyone impressed me. Our project manager, Dan Willis is a construction genius and was so easy to get along with(quite a feat since I changed my mind often...usually on the day of installation) Ann Newby keeps the show running smoothly with her positive
