Hands On Approach, a family-owned and operated Texas business has been training massage therapists since 1998. We have 2 locations, Dallas and Corpus Christi, TX serving students both in north and south Texas. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations require all schools to teach the same curriculum required to be eligible for a license.
Hands On Approach offers day and evening massage programs in Dallas and Corpus Christi, TX that fit your schedule. Our 2-days-a-week classes offer flexibility for your busy life. You chose the program's length of 7, 9, or 16 months to complete your training. We have been providing massage therapy training since 1998 and have thousands of graduates who have gone on to build successful careers as Licensed Massage Therapists.

I had a booked an appointment and put the deposit down as requested for a Saturday appointment. Me and my friend were having a girls weekend,my friend came into town and had a slight cold,the next morning she felt really sick. We went and did flu and rapid COVID. COVID came back positive. Call the spa and was told I couldn't have a refund that I had to forfeit that money. I asked the young girl who was working Saturday to ask the manager to call me. Nobody ever called me. I have been going to hands on approach for about 7 or more years now. I am ALWAYS extremely satisfied with the services (hence why I have been returning for so long) you will not find another spa in Dallas with these incredible prices and level of professionalism. Make sure to tell them exactly what your needs and wants are because I promise they won't disappoint. I am dreaming of the day they open back up from COVID-19 and AM SO EXCITED to get another massage.

I have come to Hands on Approach for a deep tissue massage many times and each time has been a wonderful experience. Very friendly staff. I have left there feeling very relaxed. And normally the next day after is even better because the tightness in my shoulders, neck and back will be almost totally gone. Good prices too.

I've been coming here for several years and maybe have had only 1 other prior to today with an intern massage but today was the worst! The student didn't listen to anything I asked for which was legs and feet so throughout my massage I only got like 5 minutes of that area. He told me I had a lot of knots on my back so he focused on that -- but that's not what I asked for! Even with management they would usually try to make it right comp it, discount next visit or try to match you with someone else. NOTHING! Just said they would talk to the student. Great massage, great price! I've been here a few times and I have not been disappointed! The staff is friendly and of course the price is great! I've only had students and they definitely are being taught great techniques. The environment is relaxing and doesn't feel like your walking into a school. Scheduling is pretty flexible and the best part they are open late until 8 or 9pm! If your looking for a relaxing massage at a reasonable price check them out!

This place is extremely organized and well-prepped. Both the licensed massage therapists and interns are wonderful. I'm a recurring client and I appreciate the hospitality every time I visit. The staff is great. Rooms are comfy, cozy, and dim. Music is perfect. This place definitely provides awesome value for the prices. A special shout-out to Summer for her outstanding skills! I found this place as I was going next door to Half Price Books. I got an appointment immediately with Paula, a student therapist. She was so professional and kind. Her pressure was perfect and consistently made sure I was comfortable and content. She graduates in less than 8 weeks so catch her while she's still here! You won't be disappointed.

I read a nasty review here and wanted to give my two cents. I came to school here in 2007 and then went back a few years later to complete the program. It's true that there was some information on the state test I didn't know, but I did pass the first time I took it. I think part of my problem was that I learned back before things had really changed (there used to be a practical test and less hours of schooling and internship) so there were some gaps in my education (because now I know they teach about how to notice proper body alignments, etc) they DO have clients that are in the office all day

This massage school is pretty great. Everyone is so nice and friendly. It was busy when I was there. There were people constantly in and out. My massage was very relaxing, but I didn't like the technique the masseuse used that much. I had a student massage for $42.50 (80 minutes). She was so kind. It wasn't the best massage I've ever had, but not the worst either. Overall, i'd return since the price is so great.

I was looking for somewhere the hubby and I could get a massage without breaking the bank. Saw this place on yelp and it had only a few reviews so I was a little skeptical but decided to give them a try. I called and the receptionist set us up an appointment for the next day and I paid for half of the total over the phone which was held as a deposit. My massage therapist was great! She really focused on all of the trouble spots such as my back and neck. Hubby enjoyed his massage as well. We will definitely be back!!

My experience was nothing like the previous reviews. I had a flexible payment plan that wasn't an issue. They always worked with me as far as my payments and hours were concerned. It was a very straightforward experience. I was required to attend x amount of hours in all the necessary fields. If I was absent, the hours needed to be made up. Each time I was available for intern hours, I was booked a few hours. I love this business. I go to Tammy. She's very skilled at working your glutes and other areas us regular folk may not know need attention. She'll also stretch you out like a boss. She and the rest of the staff are very friendly. You can't beat the prices either. $40 for an hour or pay $21 extra for an hour and a half. Totally worth it.

These people are thieves. First, they will tell you they have knowledge of the state test contents so you can easily pass the test. That's the first lie. The State test is nothing like what they teach. 98 percent of students will fail the test after "learning" at Hands on Approach. The test cost about 200$ every time you take it till you pass. Add that to their outrageous tuition and you are being scammed. ($5,000)
