Robert P. Mougin was born and raised in Southern California, and went on to attend the University of California at San Diego in 1989. After graduating with honors with his degree in Economics, Mr. Mougin went on to complete his Juris Doctorate degree at the University of San Diego in 1996. After passing the California bar exam, Mr. Mougin was immediately sworn in and began defending local businesses in civil claims filed in the San Diego area.

The term “Blue Skys Ahead“ coincides beautifully with Blue Sky’s mission statement. Rob is committed to helping others get through seemingly tumultuous life hurdles and is dedicated to finding a fair outcome for all parties involved. He is professional and has many years of experience as an attorney which leads to his extensive tool belt and objective reasoning. Rob seriously was a life saver! He was honest and gave me great advice. Before I spoke with Rob, I chatted with about 25+ attorneys. It was very hard finding one that I felt actually cared about my situation and had a passion for helping others. After chatting with Rob I felt like I had more options and clarity on my legal matter. As a 24 year litigator I've participated in hundreds of mediations representing both plaintiffs and defendants. My experience with Blue Sky and mediator Rob Mougin was simply outstanding.
We used Rob to mediate a highly contentious real estate dispute. The applicable contract required mediation but the parties' respective positions were so far apart that my clients and I felt it would be a complete waste of time. We went in with low expectations.

Rob Mougin at Blue Sky Mediation Center is a fantastic mediator and was crucial in resolving a very contentious and difficult matter. He really takes the time to get to know the case and is open and candid with both parties, taking the time to listen to each side thoroughly and emphasizing that the importance of the day is for each side to be heard. Many mediators don't take as much time to really invest in each case and often push for settlement simply for the sake of settling, but it is clear that Rob genuinely cares about getting the best result for both sides, which is often not an easy task

Not sure I even know where to start about Rob Mougin and Blue Sky Mediation. I am not one to typically write a review, but I felt absolutely compelled to do so in this case.
Typically, I imagine most people think of a large percentage of lawyers in a typical if not highly (and purely) stereotypical manner: overpriced, cocky, difficult, challenging, dogmatic (even if they're "on your side".) Well that is not Blue Sky Mediation. Rob is an experienced, smart, highly professional yet down to earth and authentic guy... and he is all about making a respectable, honest, beneficial and peaceful solution
