Dwayne Hargroder was born in Opelousas, Louisiana and attended the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette where after being inducted into the financial management National Honor Society graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1983. He formed Hargroder Companies, Inc. in 1984, which became a multi-million dollar retail property and casualty insurance firm which was later merged with ICT Group, Inc. and sold to Regions Insurance.
