The North Texas School of Swedish Massage was founded in 1994 by Don Halsell, Marilyn Halsell, and their daughter Nilda Halsell-Tull. The family fell in love with massage therapy and wanted to provide others with the opportunity to enjoy life along with their career. Becoming a massage therapist allows a person to choose to have a positive impact and positive change everyday.
We believe in a healthy balance between Faith, family, and your career. A career in massage therapy can allow that-the opportunity to be successful without sacrificing everything else. NTSSM's goal is to provide an educational opportunity for each student to meet the state of Texas' requirements for gaining the educational requirements to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Texas.

Services
Our goal is to equip students to become the best therapist they can possibly be. We believe that by keeping costs low and streamlining our programs, our students and customers are provided a better service over-all. For this reason, we do not require that students buy their own massage table, and while we provide information about various massage organizations, we do not require students to purchase any memberships.
Free of conviction, plea of nolo contendere, or deferred adjudication for any prostitution, other sexual offense or violent crime. Research the cost of each program and decide if you would like to pay up front, or make interest free payments as you go. NTSSM also works with the Veterans Administration concerning tuition.
All student interns have completed a minimum of 250 classroom hours before they begin their internship. Please keep in mind that per the state of Texas' law student therapists are not allowed to accept tips. Thank you for your understanding. Hot Stones, Hot Towels, and Aromatherapy are included for both LMT and Student Intern Massages if requested at the time of booking.

My son, his girlfriend, and myself went there for the first time yesterday (October 18, 2021). It was wonderful! It was my first time for a professional massage so I was a little nervous. That passed almost immediately when we walked in. The place is warm and inviting, the people who work there were too! All 3 of us had a great massage and felt fabulous ! I'll definitely be going back and I'm sure my son and girlfriend will too. :)

Best massage I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been so sore from working out and they changed my life, I literally feel like a newborn baby. The woman who massaged me I think her name was Gene? But she told me my skin was dry and really moisturized it with the lotions/oils and advised me to drink more water. Great service, great price ! Will be back for sure

Everyone here was very sweet. The facility is in an older house, which feels homey. I enjoyed the service and felt relaxed and at home. The prices were cheaper than most other massage places, which was pleasant. I requested a deep massage, but the massage was not deep at all. I would have enjoyed a deeper massage focused only on my neck/back and not full body (although it did feel good on my muscles).

I used to go to this place for years. But since last year, the service went down the drain. My family and I were disappointed at multiple occasions, and the students do nothing but put lotion on you and pretend to be massaging you. I went today and I had to cut the session off within 10-20 minutes. A cat would give a better massage than what they are doing! I talked to Carla and she just started pontificating and patronizing me, telling me then I should have had a certified service provider. Never going there again. Save your money and get one of those cheap handheld massagers for $30 and it will

This is an amazing school, in every way. The passionate teachers, the ethical and caring stance on all things massage and people! The owner is kind and warm, always trying to help in any way! The front desk staff —awesome, friendly, and cool! The curriculum is fascinating, engaging, and extremely thorough! This is like medical school for massage therapists!!! They go so in depth and really help you understand everything in every way you can imagine! I received the best education here and would recommend it to anyone passionate about maaaage!
