Jonathan is a Los Angeles based photographer born & raised in California. He started shooting and developing black and white photography as a teenager with a Pentax K1000 and a darkroom provided by a local high school teacher. He has worked in photography, publishing and print media for 20 years. His media portfolio includes art and production work with long standing publications including The Los Angeles Times and Backstage Magazine.
Eventually leaving the Mojave Desert where he grew up, he worked in various portrait studios and as a freelance photographer while attending college. After graduation, he took a job with The Los Angeles Times Magazine where he worked with an award winning art team. He now shoots on location and out of studio in Hollywood and Woodland Hills.

Jonathan Brown of Cafe Zermeno Studios has an amazing talent for photography. He took my maternity photos, which came out absolutely beautiful. He really has a talent for knowing things like poses, angles, and lighting that best complemented me. The session was very fun, and his delivery of the photos was prompt and exceeded my expectations. Jon is awesome! He's professional, super reliable and great/patient with kids! My hubby and I are so happy that we picked him to do our maternity/family photoshoot. He helped us scout for a good location and was open to all our suggestions. We were so pleased with his work that we booked him again to do our holiday pics and he didn't disappoint! Jonathan does an amazing job! He really knows what he's doing and is very easy to work with. Rates are extremely reasonable compared to many quotes I had received. I was actually hesitant to take maternity photos since it's not in my comfort zone, but Jonathan did a great job making sure I was comfortable and he had a lot of great ideas for our shots. We have also used his services for our daughter's 6 month photo shoot in studio and had a great time - he is great with little ones! We've also come to him for product shots for business and they were stellar.

Jon of Cafe Zermeno Studios is amazing! He photographed my maternity session for both of my pregnancies and I couldn't be happier with the images. First one was an in-home session and the second pregnancy was at the studio. Both times I had a style I wanted to convey and had examples to show. Jon was very happy to accommodate, but he also kept true to his aesthetic style while at it. As awkward as I am, he did an excellent job with natural posing (his attention to detail is no joke), and made the shoot very comfortable and fun!

We were fortunate to have Jon as our photographer for our maternity session and our son's 1st birthday. On both occasions Jon was such a pleasure to work with. He went out of his way to explore the location of our maternity shoot beforehand and as a result the photos were stunning! During maternity session he would cue us occasionally and make adjustments which was very helpful. He captured all the special moments of our son's birthday beautifully and we can relive the day through the photos. He was very accommodating and prompt with delivery of the edited photos.
