On this Thanksgiving holiday, we are so thankful for the families we serve, and we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and health of all who enter our facilities. May God bless you all this holiday season. During these days of uncertainty, we fully understand that grief does not pause for pandemics.
The well-being of all the families and friends of loved ones entrusted to our care is of utmost importance to us. We will continue to serve you with our exceptional service throughout this pandemic. We offer face masks and hand sanitizer for use at services at either of our chapels or at the graveside service.

McNeece-Morris Funeral Home began in 1961 when Boyce McNeece and his father-in-law, the late Charles Morris, purchased the Hawkins Funeral Home, which had served Fulton and Itawamba County since 1929. McNeece and Morris worked side by side for ten years before Morris's death in 1971. In 1965, McNeece-Morris built its present location on South Cummings Street.
A funeral is an important part of grieving, and often the first step in the healing process. For thousands of years, funerals have been the preferred means of expressing grief and paying tribute to loved ones. When dealing with loss and grief, there is no single solution that meets the needs of every individual.
Staff members of McNeece-Morris Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Boyce began his career working for Hawkins Funeral Home.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
