Services
TO DEVELOP a relationship of trust with the families we serve, our community, our staff, and our suppliers. TO EDUCATE families and the community so that informed decisions can be made during times of vulnerability and emotional stress. TO ENCOURAGE families to consider the value of pre-planning and pre-paying funeral arrangements.
Today, we hear more and more about estate planning. Pre-paying funeral expense helps "get your affairs in order" along with preparing your will, tax planning and obtaining adequate life insurance. It's a responsible part of protecting your family's future.

Pre-paying can reduce the emotional burden of having to make detailed arrangements in a short period of time, at a time of sadness, stress and vulnerability, and when so many other decisions and arrangements have to be made.Pre-paying eliminates the financial burden to your family, who may not be prepared for this expense.

My mother recently lost her younger brother, my uncle. She was told that at Sunset Memorial they would provide excellent help to families in mourning. My mother had needed necessary paperwork to have him cremated. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, she would call to the office but the person in charge of my uncle wasn’t there that was on a Monday. When Thursday arrived she had her paperwork ready, and the lady told her to sign and then proceeded to say here are your brothers ashes. My mother was hit with shock! She was supposed to see my uncle before he was to be cremated! How can a service do

My family and I had a hard time with the loss of my mom. We are so thankful for the people at Sunset Memorial. Mr. Ortiz was kind and caring. He talked to us about the steps we could take with the viewing for my mom. He was compassionate and comforted us during our time of loss. I highly recommend this place. It's never easy saying goodbye to a loved one and having to plan their funeral service. But Sunset Memorial helped us through a hard time.

PATHETIC. OVER ALL LACK of customer service. No empathy from staff. They stay in their office with their faces glued to their phone screen. I've been to MANY funerals. This funeral home is NOWHERE close to the service given at other funeral homes in Brownsville. In a scale of 1 thru 10, I give it a NEGATIVE 2.
It's obvious they're in this strictly for the $$$$.
