CMS Landscapes Inc. is a local family business serving the Chicago suburbs since 2001. Founded by Scott Podjasek, a husband and father looking to make a living with the gift and passion he has for beautifying the outdoors. For as long as I can remember, I've had a true appreciation and interest in landscapes and a desire to build them.
This passion comes from the connection I've made with the outdoors with family and friends. So many memories happen outside of the home: backyard parties, intimate family grill nights, a "staycation", the first day of school pictures in the yard, and so many more. I now create the backdrop for those moments for other families and I couldn't be happier.

We had a problem with some previous work that this company did for us... We repeatedly called, emailed, texted and never received a response from Scott Aside from empty promises of coming to fix the problem which never occurred
Last weekend we saw this company was doing work in our neighborhood... So my husband went over and talked to the project manager. He said yes I will come right over and check out the concern.... Never showed up we were at the house all afternoon/evening
So incredibly disappointed in the lack of customer service, responsiveness and willingness to fix a problem.

Wish this rating system could go to eleven! Can’t say enough about Scott, the unrivaled professionalism of his employees, and his ability to take charge and think outside the box!
Not only has Scott done phenomenal work at our house, I initially retained him after seeing the amazing work he did in my neighbor’s yard. As I watched a stunning landscape evolve next door, I was also impressed by the consideration and professionalism his workers showed neighbors during construction.
My own yard is a conundrum of small space and strange angles, and just when I was convinced nothing could be done

We wanted to rip up some asphalt in the back our our house and build a patio as well as put down sod and plants to connect it to our backyard. The patio was to serve two functions: 1) to increase the aesthetics our the back of our home and provide a nice outdoor living space and 2) it was to be surrounded by "flood walls" to prevent water in our backyard from reaching the house as we are in a low lying area on our street. We had no idea where to start.
We talked with a few other landscapers but just didn't feel comfortable. Scott from CMS came out and right away knew exactly

We just had our patio redone by CMS and the whole experience couldn't have better better or easier. Scott thoroughly went over the design plan and added his visions to the basic layout of what we had in mind which included the patio, a large sitting wall, two trellises, and a built-in grill (which I can not wait to start using). The installation was quick, thorough, and professional, and he was always easily available to answer the questions I had. Our backyard has been transformed thanks to CMS!
