The restaurant was not very busy at 6pm on a week night, so we were able to be seated immediately for dinner. The waitress was very friendly and efficient, and she was actually pretty funny considering no one at our table was fluent in Spanish and our inability to pronounce one or two dishes correctly spread quickly throughout the restaurant. The gentleman who delivered our food made sure to announce each dish loudly and in an over exaggerated way. Have been coming to La Hacienda for upwards of 10 years now. Have always been welcomed and serviced adequately. However, recently I brought a friend with a service dog. We were refused service and even told we could not sit outside. This was incredibly frustrating because I have always had good experiences here, however this policy is unacceptable and is incredibly illegal. Shame on the owner

This food is obviously old and tastes horrible. The chicken had no flavor and had that mealy texture of chicken that has been overcooked or reheated alot. The rice is an off color and was sticking together in clumps it was so disgusting. The beans are just had a disgusting layer of grease on them. Seriously one of the worst mexican restaurants I've eaten. I didnt expect this place to be great I just wanted it to be edible.

Yo…this food is NOT Mexican food. I don’t know why so many people have written great reviews for such a failure of a attempt to pass down culture through food, which is something that should be considered a sacred practice. When I ate this food, my whole day from that point on had collapsed into a rabbit hole of despair and complex existentialism. This experience triggered a thought in my mind that maybe this town has too little of a Mexican presence in order for REAL Mexican food to be embraced. Ordered this place to go. Fast service and got our order correctly minus the extra cheese. Sadly to say the food here is absolutely the most bland food I think I've ever had. Salt doesn't even exist on their food Neither does flavor. Everything was soggy and overpriced. Hell Taco Bell is leagues better than this place. However the end dining atmosphere does seem nice. The darkness of the restaurant will cover up the lack of flavor in the food.

I like the tortilla soup here, but the last two times I've ordered it, they'e given me less than a quarter of a cup of broth. I usually have to go to the Food Lion close by to buy more broth. I asked about it tonight and the person I spoke with was argumentative. When I asked for more broth, I was told I was being charged an extra 0.50 for more broth. More broth. For a cup of Chicken f'ing BROTH. 50 cents. Never ever again

FANTASTIC! Both the food and the dining experience were so great. No clue how this place doesn't have 5 stars. It was packed but the service was SO fast and everyone was so kind. Our waiter helped us change our order so we all got what we wanted and the food was wonderful. Huge portions, great flavor (even the chips and salsa) and great atmosphere. We're not local or I'd totally come back!

Let's see-- the chips were good as they came right from the deep fryer. I suspect the beer is cold, but I came at lunch so that's a guess. Cold beer, warm chips on a sunny patio sounds like it could work for a happy hour: Busy patio mystery solved. Service was Ok, but the food was lackluster; the portions generous, but no need for a leftover box (IYKWIM). Probably better fare to be had elsewhere.

They have the best veggie quesadilla I've found in Nashville. It's fresh, tasty, includes a variety of veggies (broccoli, carrots, peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.), and is generous in size. Includes lettuce, cream, tomato, guac as toppings. Most places just "accommodate" a vegie quesadilla and use fajita veggies.
We also like the fajita nachos very much. Other dishes, not anything special, and we would love for them to bring it up a notch or two. Seems to be slipping in quality and thus, in popularity, too.

When you walk in here the first thing you notice isn't the decor or the smell of delicious Mexican food, but the extremely overpowering scent of cleaner. It's not a bad smell, like bleach, it's just so strong! It gave me a headache. And with all that cleaning solution they use you'd think the place would be clean. It's not. "I tried. Tell your therapist, 'I tried." Any Arrested Development fans out there? That's how I feel about this place. I've ate here probably once a year for 5 years. We've gone to LaHa since they've opened over a decade ago.
I just don't get all the uber negative reviews? It's not gourmet Mexican but solid food.
Chips, salsa, food and service have always been solid. Maybe some of the other reviewers have mistaken ketchup for salsa before. Ketchup doesn't have chunks.
