Northside Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located at 2612 Citizens Parkway in Selma, AL. Dr. Matthew Taccone has an exceptional staff of support technicians with particular interests in all aspects of animal care. We have been serving the pets of Dallas County since 1952 when Dr. Vernon Wells opened the Hospital as Wells Veterinary Hospital.

We are a fully equipped facility offering wellness exams and vaccinations, surgeries including orthopedics, spay and neutering, mass removals and emergency procedures. We have a dental suite, x-ray capability, and a full in-house laboratory. We offer separate dog and cat boarding with hand- walking three times daily in our fenced- in yard.

On the road with a sick furbaby. Dr. Matthew met us after hours at his clinic and took excellent care of our sick one. She is doing much better. Dr. Was very caring and knowledgeable.

We are traveling and my 15 year old cat got clawed nesr the eye and she wasn't feeling well. They got me an appointment for re next morning. They checked her out, did bloodwork (I wanted it) cleaned her eye and gave her antibiotics. They were very nice. Only you have to drop them off and they call you when ready. I would have liked to meet the vet.The vet himself called to let me know she was ok. Just wish I could have been with her as she doesn't do well with strangers.

If your not rich dont go there it use to be the best but it only for high class people ,they changed my appointment and didn't borer about call me some customers say they do that and want let you no put other people ahead of you

This place is awesome 👏🏽! My husband and traveled to Selma for the day and had to make stop and we could not take our Yorkie. We called this place and explained the situation and they were able to make arrangements for us. Thank you so much!

I put down my beloved min pin mix yesterday. They were great to me and my dog such compassion. I will be moving all six of my animals there they are my new vet.

A great place to take your fur babies. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They treat your fur babies as if they are their own. I won't take mine to any other vets office in town but Northside. They even have their own residential kitty that you can pet lol
