We scheduled an appointment to have a leak looked at in our roof. Spoke with Steve, who said he'd call us the day prior to confirm the time. Didn't hear from him so the day of we called to confirm. He said he'd come by between 4:30 and 5 and he never showed or called. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

I highly recommend Steve and his team Santiago Roofing based on the work they ave done on my roof. They fixed a significant leak in a flat part of our roof that had been a problem for a long time. Steve was very professional and identified exactly what needed to be fixed. His quote was very competitive but most importantly, Santiago Roofing did a great job.

Wasted my time and I couldn't even get a quote. I tend to do my research before even contacting the vendors. Santiago was highly recommended by ND and and high rating on Yelp so I decided to give Steve a call. Our rental property had a leak over the rainy season earlier this year. I needed someone to come out and give us an estimate. I have already gotten 2 other estimates and was waiting on a 3rd to make the final decision. I worked at Santiago Roofing for several years installing and repairing roofs. The over arching priority of the company is quality installation at reasonable prices. I worked with Steve at Santiago Roofing. His team really did an excellent job. They showed up on time and did plywood repairs, replaced the whole roof, and installed seamless gutters in less than 4 days. My wife and my family were very impressed. Very satisfied with this company. They replaced my roof several years ago. I developed a small leak due to a cracked tile. They were able to come out within a few days after Thanksgiving. They fixed it in a short time, cleaned it all up and were out there! Lesson learned if I see a cracked tile call them quickly and don't wait for the rain.

I believe his roof work could be great but I would not recommend Santiago roofing to anyone because of his 'he's important than anyone else'. His exact words as a response to waiting for 10 min is "I wasted an hour of my day". "I am a busy guy and can't wait around while you do whatever. Good luck finding someone else"

Just finished dealing with Steve the owner of Santiago Roofing.. These pics show damage to fascia boards due to poor installation of drip flashing.
Fascia boards are dry rotted and need to be replaced, the flashing was not lapped over the fascia boards.
Water should never be running down the backside of fascia boards..
He was very angered that we pointed out the problems and walked off.
I've worked in the construction industry for over 35 yrs, I have never seen this kind of damage, it is solely do to poor workmanship.

Drip flashing was not properly installed, water penetrated and saturating the backside of fascia, causing paint to peel off front and backside.
I don't care how old project is water should not have penetrated like that.
In over 35 yrs of experience, I've never seen this... I've worked on old victorians and craftman style homes.. never ever..
Steve angrily walked off and told me to take him to court.

We had a very good experience with Santiago Roofing. They were very friendly, punctual, and trust-worthy. When we had a leak occur after their initial fix, the owner came back out within 30 minutes and was on the roof in the rain to put up a tarp. He came back within two days and went above and beyond to make sure it wouldn't leak again. We will definitely use Santiago for any future roofing issues.

I was referred to Steve by my neighbor, who is in real estate. At the end of the day, I trust references from people I know over Internet sources like Angie's List. I had a good gut feeling about Steve from the first time I met him. His price was fair and he seemed like a straight shooter. The work was completed in four days, the inspector gave the thumbs up, and my neighbors complimented me on how good the house looked after the completion of the work.
