Found this place on a road trip. The green chili burrito was just as advertised, amazing and the Papa is big enough to share. Coffee fans, delicious brew and real cream, hello?!
We got the last piece of the Apple-EE ever after, omg. You must try.
Definitely a gem, if we lived here this would be a must-go every time.

Mediocre food, service was very friendly but not totally competent. Seems like they are trying for a homey feel, which is achieved; however, it does not feel like a professionally run business. More like a family is serving meals out of a converted home. If the food had been outstanding I would happily rate it higher, but the food was just not very good and the place did not give off super clean vibes.

Veggie scramble was flavorless and swimming in grease. Chef special was anemic looking scrambled eggs placed on top of soggy hashbrowns. Coffee was barely warm and weak. The bear paw biscuits needed another 5 minutes in the oven because the center tasted like raw dough. Again, too much butter ladled on the buscuits. I had to go inside and ask for salt and pepper.
The two ladies waiting on us were pleasant and sweet but overall my breakfast was a big disappointment. I hate paying for breakfast knowing I could have made something healthier and better tasting at my campsite.

We were there on a Saturday morning. Arrived at 10:10. They were busy,, and must have only had one server.. we didn't see our server until 10:40. And no one acknowledged that we had been waiting 30 min (I am reasonable... things happen, but please at least acknowledge it). The food came out fast and was fine. I had a scrambler (salty.. and I like salt). The roll (their famous Bear Claw) was the highlight!

The outside patio was really nice and we loved getting to spend the morning outside. The food however, simply put, was not good. The eggs and potatoes felt and tasted like they were microwaved. I recognize that good food is subjective but if you're expecting breakfast food that has any texture or bite you'll be disappointed.

Had a great country style brunch here before we set off for the road. The lady was very friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty.
We ordered a biscuit and gravy, a scrambled egg with hash brown and a apple-ee desert. The garlic bread that came with the scrambled egg bowl was really good! Eggs and hash brown was done right. Gravy was a bit too salty. The dessert was pretty decent, not overly sweet but flavorful.

Eating at the Light House in Montrose was like stepping back in time. Not in the sense of traveling back to a better era, but rather like actually having time crawl slowly backwards.
We arrived at 9am and received some help around 9:24. Then we waited patiently for the arrival of our single (not very enthralling) burrito, sinking slowly into a molasses-like torpor. What felt like 3 or 4 more hours passed before we finally paid the check. Ironically, "Hotel California" was playing quietly in the background as we made our getaway.
Although other breakfast joints in Montrose sounded

Amazing food and wonderful people and exactly what I needed for my first restaurant experience since Covid started. Everyone is wearing masks and their tables are set up in a way that encourages social distancing. Luckily there was only one person on the patio at any time while I was here but it looks like they have good pick-up/delivery business. I'm glad to see that everyone is observing good practices.
The burrito was delicious and I understand why they are on the "Epic 3 Day Restaurant Road Trip" guide for Colorado. Absolutely great pricing and you get coffee with free refills

PLEASE listen to some of the other 1-2 star reviews, they all say the same thing, and my experience was no different. I have no idea why their green chili burrito gets talked up so much. It had barely cooked bagged shredded potatoes, powdered eggs, the salsa and green chili on top was extremely bland, and the tortilla was soggy as soon as we got it. Oh, and we found random pieces of chicken in the burrito. We ordered a side of bacon to go on top, since they don't include any meat in the burrito, and got two strips of microwave bacon for $2.75 extra. Coffee was just flavored junk. The lady

What a great little spot in Montrose. We flew in and were on our way up to Telluride Saturday morning 8/10/19 and needed breakfast/lunch before getting on the road. My son found this place on Yelp so we tried it. Glad we did. They were at the end of their breakfast rush and were working hard to clean off tables so we could pick a seat. I heard the staff talking about an off-menu breakfast sandwich so I got that and they were nice enough to go ahead and offer lunch to my son who wanted the open face Italian sandwich. He had sausage left over so the owner came out and made him a nice to go option

For starters, the woman who helped up was amazing, she was so excited about the food that she was serving and you could easily tell that it was genuine. I wish I had one of these in my hometown just for the amazing customer service!
My friend and I ordered the 'porridge' because we needed something easy to-go. Definitely a very sweet breakfast and not a traditional savory breakfast. If we had more time I would've ordered one of the more savory recommendations from the woman who helped us out!

Well~ even though the owner was so lovely I hate to give it only 3 stars. Service was slow, coffee wasn't that good, breakfast food wasn't that good, the order was slightly wrong... The decor was nice, and if they had more help it would be outstanding, and the heavy whipping cream in the coffee was a unique twist on coffee creamer. I liked my smothered burrito, but my son didn't touch his biscuits in gravy (perhaps not the restaurant's fault!) and my moms' egg scramble came out cold and we asked to reheat it. I wouldn't write this place off. If you have plenty of time
