Whether a small intimate affair, or a lavish wedding reception, there is no place like The Veranda. I could not have imagined a prettier setting for our wedding than the Veranda. By the time the sun had set and the reception began, it looked nothing short of magical. The buildings and lights looked stunning.
The Veranda at Thorton Park was the PERFECT venue for our wedding. We instantly fell in love when we saw the venue. They have beautiful string lights everywhere. Cyndi was really helpful giving us ideas for vendors, and always available for any questions. They let you plan your wedding however you want to, and work with a large variety of vendors.
Our house is in the epicenter of Orlando - Thornton Park. With two bedrooms, two baths and a small pool/patio area, it is a private retreat in the middle of the hottest district in the city. A charming house built in 1918 features hard wood floors and a front and back porch. Our location is close to the city center, nightlife and Lake Eola.
Gerald was beyond amazing to work with, he paid super close attention to details and made sure our day was beyond perfect! The whole day was flawless and everything was better than we could have imagined! We could not be happier with the beautiful venue! The cleanliness, professionalism, quality, location, and most amazing event coordinator Gerald, was second to none!

I'm not one to write negative reviews (this may be my first ever) but I feel the need to write this to warn other brides. I noticed most wedding reviews are older and about different venue managers/ day of coordinators. Felicia took down the pergola she knew I had measured for decorations weeks before my wedding and claimed she emailed me about it and didn't. Two weeks before the wedding she met and took both my parents numbers saying she'd contact my dad that coming Monday about renting an ice machine and send my mom pictures of the new pergola... never heard from her. Love, love, love this place. I have done multiple events here in the summer, fall, winter, and spring. Felicia is always amazing, professional, which is very hard for a lot of women to do LOL she is amazing. The vibe is beautiful, happy, free, just all in all lovely.

Orlando vegan market took place here my first time and really liked it , I would add better music like more variety/bands and also some people like really in the back of the venue was not easy to find, so if maybe redistribute in a way that everyone would be easy to reach that'd be good, more seats for having your food not on your feet it'd be even better as well... oh! and parking.. Otherwise great, location, vendors, environment, vibes, time, liked it!

I had recently came to this venue for the Sweet and Savory yelp elite event and I have to say it was very beautiful. Right in the center of Thornton park is this nice hidden gem. The venue seems to have a dance floor area it looks like and a lot of room to fit guest. The yelp event probably had a few hundred attend the event and it was able to accommodate the space, it was a little tight but it worked out. I highly recommend this venue for parties, events and small weddings... it is definitely a sight to see.

We just had our wedding at The Veranda on 11/16. We originally booked 1010 West as our venue, but over the summer we were notified that they were condemned. We, of course, freaked out. In reaching out to Facebook, I learned of a couple of venues offering specials for couples affected by this situation, and The Veranda was one of them. I can't tell you how stressful it was learning that our venue would probably not be open for the date we booked, but that little bit of money saved helped ease the blow of two deposits.

This is a beautiful and intimate venue! Gerald, the special events coordinator, is amazing. He was there for the wedding from start to finish and made sure everything flowed well. My friends' wedding was amazing and the space was perfect for the group of about 100 people. The venue is an absolutely perfect space for a wedding or really any special event. Once you're inside the property, you forget you're in the middle of busy downtown Orlando. I highly recommend this location for any event you are planning.

Gerald is an amazing individual and fantastic at what he does. He was available for us whenever needed and went out of his way to ensure things went smoothly. The venue looked even better at night all lit up with the lights and all of our needs were fully met. We would choose The Veranda again in a heart beat.

I come to this lovely event space because of a Yelp event and thought it was great to find a space with such great proximity to downtown Orlando.
The history and space of this location also makes it quite unique. Basically it's a collection of five 20th Century houses that have been lovingly and painstakingly restored, and so I am assuming you can rent one or all houses or event spaces, depending on your needs.
For the Yelp event, we used one massive open space in one of the houses and it had a lovely porch which opened up to an intimate interior courtyard - with the fairy lights strung
