My name is Cody Turman, I founded White Leaf in 2015 and currently serve in the Homewood area. I previously studied Psychology and Neuroanatomy at UAB before deciding to take time off to teach English in South Korea. While there, I endured a severe back injury that left me entirely incapacitated and ultimately put me in the hospital.
During my visit, I was surprised when the doctor recommended I get a massage. Following the procedure, I was blown away by the immediate relief and restoration I felt! The experience opened my eyes to the medically therapeutic benefits to massage and bodywork, and motivated my decision to become a massage therapist.

Outstanding therapy! I had two massages within days apart. The first introduction was a full-body, the second was craniosacral. Both were vastly different. The first massage he helped to relieve my pain within an hour. The later session was very intentional and added this calculated understanding of body issues and body awareness. Craniosacral therapy (CST) address migraines as well!

Cody did an amazing job and his studio is clean and relaxing. I have gotten a few massages elsewhere but I'll definitely return here! He's very aware of your reactions to the massage, which in turn helps him to adjust without you having to tell him something (like when the pressure is too much). The dollar per minute pricing is easy to calculate and really affordable as well!
