Established in 1976, AGA is one of the largest gastroenterology practices in the country dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of both digestive and liver diseases. At Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, we are committed to providing our patients with the most appropriate and cost-effective healthcare available in a comfortable and compassionate setting.
Our staff is specially trained to coordinate patient care and ensure that all medical needs are met, making our practice a right choice for those with digestive problems. Diagnosing and treating complex gastrointestinal issues and functional digestive disorders requires both extensive study and training on the part of the physician, as well as access to the latest endoscopic tools and technology.

Over the years, AGA has grown from two physicians to more than 90 and from one office in Atlanta to more than 50 locations throughout metro Atlanta, the north Georgia mountains, and Athens. In addition, the practice operates several accredited endoscopy centers where many outpatient gastrointestinal procedures are performed, and our physicians have privileges at most local hospitals.

Getting educated about colon cancer and screening recommendations is the first step to preventing the disease. Screening should begin at age 45 for all healthy adults - younger if other risk factors are present. There are several colon cancer screening methods available. However, colonoscopy is the only test that both detects and prevents cancer.
AGA recently launched a brand new, comprehensive patient portal. Need credentials? Give us a call, and we'll get you set up. If you are a current AGA patient, you should have received an email invitation to activate your new portal account. If you wish to have your invitation resent, please give us a call.

Spent thousands of dollars here only to have no diagnosis and maybe a total of 10 minutes with a doctor. Went elsewhere afterwards and had a diagnosis by my 2nd appt. They also separate billing into several different accounts (AG, AG-2, AG-1) so paying is a nightmare and extremely misleading. I have never written a review for a medical facility but this was the worst experience I've ever had with any doctor/medical practice

Most expensive and most worthless doctor's appointment I've ever had. $500 for a "consultation" in which the dr asked for the same medical history I just put on your forms, then tell me I need $5,000 worth of procedures in order to guess at a diagnosis. Spent longer filling out paperwork than I did talking to a doctor. What a scam.
