Brief update: We continue to use Martha for changes to our estate plan, such as transferring the title to new property. She works quickly and accurately and we always enjoy talking to her. COVID update: the operation is all virtual now, and you can do everything by video conference and electronic signature.

Martha is simply amazing! Trust/estate planning is complicated, and you end up spending a lot of time with whomever you hire. Martha is easy to work with, has a very warm and engaging personality, is trustworthy, and has package pricing, simplifying the whole process. We've been doing the whole process over Zoom, which is nice since we don't even need to leave home. You can tell that Marthas genuinely cares about her clients, which is nice given the topics you cover in estate planning.

Worked with Martha after my mom passed away. Legal stuff is not my thing, but Martha described everything clearly, and she calmly shepherded me through. I appreciate that her fee was for the package, not hourly, so I didn't have to worry about how much time we spent. She kept the big picture in mind, too--that it's not just about money and legal documents, but about facing death and considering what you want your non-monetary legacy to be. She even does a video interview with you about what you want that legacy to be, to leave for loved ones. I found Martha friendly, accepting, and creative. My

Definitely a 5-star experience! Martha expertly and empathetically guided us through an in-depth interview process, taking the time to get to know what was in our hearts and talking through all the options before creating our estate plan. The best part was at the end, when she created a video log of us talking about what matters most to us -- a beautiful legacy gift to leave behind for our children.

Martha is outstanding. She's a deeply integrated woman with a confident grasp on all the legal-technical knowledge required to create the type of estate plans I needed for my blended family and my small business. She also has the heart and grounded presence to really explain things in a way that made sense, felt clear and brought relief at the deep, existential level very few lawyers have the skillfulness to touch. Thank you Martha. My life is significantly better from working with you. I can't recommend you enough!

The presentation of information, the focus on my family, and the clear explanations of options made us confident in our estate planning decisions.
Martha Hartney's focus on growing and thriving families creates a different type of interaction: proactive. This includes great communication every step of the way, the ability to make updates efficiently and cost effectively, and the willingness to answer questions as they come up.
Important additional benefits (that without Hartney Law we wouldn't know about):
- Protection plan for minors.
- Documents to have at the house for caregivers to act

Over the course of last spring and summer, our family got the royal treatment with Hartney Law. Martha and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable about estate planning and setting up Living Wills and Trusts. Now we feel confident that our family is taken care of; that really gives us peace of mind. The piece of the planning that really served as a cherry on top of the sundae was the Illumination Interview in which we shared important oral history about our families.
At first, the price seems a bit steep to take care of this, but in the end it's very worth it to ensure that our assets will be taken

Martha (Hartney Law) did a great job setting up our Will and Trust for our family. She, and her team, took the time to explain what we were setting up and how it worked. They answered any questions we had and were very responsive, friendly, and professional either via email or in person. Email reminders were great! They also were reasonably priced and allow for a reasonable payment plan (3 payments instead of 1) for us (this is on a case to case basis). It was great they were flexible and willing to work with us to get us what we wanted. I'd recommend them to anyone who wanted to set up a will

I worked with Martha to get my things in order for when I die -- something I didn't really want to think about. I was very surprised by how simple it was with Martha's guidance and thoughtful questions. Martha's smart, organized system along with her heart-wide-open kindness made the process something to actually enjoy! I was especially surprised by the sense of relief that I felt once it was done. There were things to consider that I wouldn't have thought of on my own. I am so very grateful for the experience and the outcome. I feel really good knowing that there are official records of what I

My husband and I work with Martha and her team during January 2012. We appreciated the way Martha was able to explain different situations and what would happen to our child and our assets should these things occur and we didn't have a trust/will/kids protection plan set up. Martha and her team did an excellent job following up with us to make sure we completed all the tasks in a timely manner. Unlike other lawyers, Martha charges a flat fee which made us feel comfortable emailing or calling about small questions knowing we wouldn't be billed for each inquiry. Martha is one of the few, if only
