Services
Largely, a grappling and ground fighting art, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on the principles of leverage and technique to obtain dominant control of an opponent, and provides a greater position to resolve conflict by using submission holds. Student can train in BJJ for self defense, fitness, sport and mixed martial arts competition.
All classes at Gracie Barra North Orlando are taught by experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts, under the supervision of World Champion Head Instructor, Gustavo "Gutty" Muggiati. Each instructor is dedicated to helping students progress and reach their individual potential. Gustavo "Gutty" Muggiati is a 4th degree black belt from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Jiu Jitsu is a Martial Art, developed by the Gracie Family in Brazil. The Gracies learned Jiu Jitsu from a Japanese Diplomat and evolved it into a whole new art which rather than focusing on powerful throws, the major strategy was to take attackers to the ground and pin them or apply joint locks or strangle holds to immobilize the opponent.

If you're a beginner, we recommend joining us for a fundamentals class at 11:00 am, Monday, Wednesday, Friday or 6:00 pm Monday -Friday. In this class you'll be introduced to the basic concepts Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I met Professor Lawrence today and I was blown away by how welcoming and amazing he and the entire academy are. It was also really awesome as had a friend with me that had no impression of any martial arts and she was super excited as well. You will be hard pressed to find a better place never mind value for your money. The all inclusive atmosphere at the best price I’ve ever seen in my all years. I can’t wait to get started there and I’m blessed to be joining. Thank you Professor 🥋🙏🤝

The best place to train jiu jitsu in Orlando; the facility is very ample, clean, the staff is very professional, and knowledgeable. Professor Gutty fosters a friendly, and encouraging environment toward learning BJJ. I have been training here for several years and every day I look forward to training.

Professor Gutty (owner), professor Lawrence (main instructor), and the other instructors are patient, considerate, and welcoming far beyond my expectations. If you’re looking for a place for your kids to learn jiu jitsu, you absolutely cannot go wrong here.

My experience with Gracie Barra North Orlando is incredible. I’m learning from the best instructors in Florida! Professor Gutty has helped me in not just Jiu-Jitsu but life lessons. I’ve started 4 years ago with the intention of doing Jiu-Jitsu as a hobby. However, once I started I knew it would change my life; I now compete. Currently my 12 and 9 year old daughters train just from witnessing their Dad train. This Academy inspires you. There are no egos; just a group of experienced instructors and students who are humble and welcoming and always helping! So everyone is comfortable in learning

Hands down one of the best schools to learn Jiu jitsu! Very clean, professional, friendly and family oriented environment. Whether your just looking for an after school activity for your child or to pick up a hobby for yourself, get into shape, learning self defense, or compete; this gym offers all! I have been training at Gracie Barra North Orlando for a decade and there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not grateful for the experience that Professor Gutty and his staff provide. The level of instruction is second to none and the amenities that this 2-story facility hold are extremely impressive. Not only can you learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from some of the world's best instructors, but the academy also offers Muay-Thai Kickboxing, has a full weight training area and a separate crossfit room as well. Everything is under one roof including 2 shower facilities. It's also probably the cleanest

If you're in Orlando and want to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, do yourself a favor and visit Gracie Barra North Orlando Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Gutty and all of the black belt instructors are extremely knowledgable and friendly. There are classes for different levels so you can learn at your own pace. And the two-story facility is top notch. My son and I wouldn't train anywhere else.

After doing my research, I decided to join Gracie Barra of North Orlando. Based on their reputation, I came in with very high expectations. Despite the high bar, my sons and I have been blown away by how great this school is. The instructors are top-notch, and you can tell they really care about their students having a good experience. The students are very welcoming. Finally, the "vibe" at this school is exactly what I was looking for. The absolute best place for my daughters. They've been training Jiu-Jitsu here for a couple years and we have loved every minute. The instructors are great with the kids and communicate perfect with the parents. The gym is always clean and cared for. The adults that take classes are very supportive and respectful, especially to the kids. It is 100% the best spot for martial arts in Orlando.
