Currently there is a "bug" in the Shooting Store design that cannot properly handle transfer fees. If we include transfer fees, the program applies it to every item in the store, which obviously is not correct. If we do not include transfer fees, the program improperly places random balloons on products that displays there are no transfer fees, which is also wrong and the way it is currently set up.
Ammunition purchases have a $1 background check (if you are already in the state system) that only takes a few minutes to process. If you are not in the CA DOJ system with registered firearms, you will have a $19 background check that usually takes about ten days to complete and it is only good for a one time use.

I like to support locally private businesses, but after waiting outside for over 15 minutes to get in to look over art supplies - forget it. I might be accepting of whatever policy this is with respect to the firearms business, if that's indeed the case, but the art supplies portion should be segregated somehow. Unless this is a COVID issue, then make it clear outside.

Always good to support local businesses! They answer the phone quickly and give stock information over the phone so you don't waste a trip. They also don't have insane markups. Smaller stores don't get as much leverage with suppliers so I think the prices are pretty fair. Was going to give 4 stars, but ammo shortages and coronaviruses are not their fault. 5 stars it is then, for good service and fair pricing.
Due to Covid they only allow one person in the store at a time. Totally fine by me, plus I appreciate that they also wipe down all the counter surfaces in between customers

I've been to this mom and pop shop before to purchase "tactical" stuff. I love their customer service and great personalities but the extra
"walser's Transfer fee" (additional $50 policy) just doesn't make any sense to me. If you have to charge extra because you're a small business then just be honest with the prices - Other small businesses are very upfront about it WITH great customer service! But the hidden "transfer" fee when I bought a firearm from you directly IS NOT RIGHT!

I bought a stock gun from Walser's and was charged with the DOJ Dros fee ($31.19) and DOJ Transfer Fee ($50). My gun was not purchased from other stores nor transferred from other store to Walser's. It was purchased directly from Walser's store which was in stock at the time of purchase. Therefore, I shouldn't have been charged with above fees per my colleagues from gun club. Upon reviewed of the receipt at home, I happened to notice the charges and contacted Jack to dispute the overcharge. Jack simply stated that it was their policy. Jack, the owner didn't explain any

Such friendly service! This place has lots of art supplies AND old electronics (guitar amps, and vintage stereo components, computers, projectors, and reel-to-reel recorders etc) and, of course, tactical supplies. The photos I took of a few of the tape reel machines I saw.
Their ammo prices are better than Big-5, which was my go-to store for ammo until two days ago, when I found Walser’s. Bought three boxes of 9mm FMJ (150 rds) for about $75 including tax and DOJ fee. So it’s cheaper than big 5 by about five cents per round. Plus, they get deliveries every day. When I showed up, there happened

Wish i had known about this hidden gem in Torrance before, could have saved money and time on many firearm and ammo purchases. This is my go to store from now on. Small store but Very friendly people and great prices with things actually in stock. Best prices for FFL transfers as well. Highly recommend. 5 stars

I've purchased several firearms from Walser's and my experience has been excellent. Following one very unhappy purchasing experience from Turners' Outdoorsman in Torrance, I've resolved to do business only with Walsers. Jack, Janie and Lydia are the best! I agree with one of the prior reviewers - the 3 of them are friendly and I have never had any such "racist" experience in all my purchases and conversations.

My go to hidden gem in the firearms business. I have always recieved great service and advice from all the staff here. Thank you all for always being so courteous and professional. I reccomend your business whenever I get asked where to start looking for a firearm. You get a 1on 1 and no rush experience when you walk In. Which I prefer over some other stores "get them in-sell them-get them out" policy. You definitly have my patronage.

Amazing customer service, highly courteous and polite staff. Great location, well stocked and organized store.I only found out about Walsers through an online dealer that showed them as an approved FFL dealer. After reading their reviews on Google I decided to not proceed with my online order and go check them out instead and I’m very glad I did. I emailed them and they replied promptly so next day in the morning I headed there and made my purchase. Ive been going to other gun stores lately and its been hectic and kind of stressful to be honest but not here. It was actually the most stress free

I stumbled upon this place online and was very intrigued when I read that they were an FFL and an Art Store. When I went in I was greeted by Mr. Walser, who was the one that helped me with purchasing some ammo. They have a small little area for all your firearm needs. Everything there was priced normally, especially during this time where every other store is price gouging. They have a limited supply at the moment, but I was told if I need something specific I should email and they would try their best to get it for me. There was no line, and it was quick and easy. I hesitate to even write this

Absolutely the best FFL in the Los Angeles area; having used multiple over the years, I can say that with full confidence. Very friendly staff who know exactly what to do and help customers through the process of transferring firearms/ammo. Best prices around too! They take one customer at a time to process transfers in order to maintain social distance, so show up 30+ mins before they close to get your turn.

Wonderful art supply store. Buy independent and support local Torrance business!
Came here to get some oil painting supplies (odorless mineral spirits, gesso, and Titanium white) and left with some great clearance finds as well. The store has a great selection of fine art supplies and some truly unique vintage electronics. Come and browse!

I remember the old locations where the store was much nicer with a wide selection of art supplies. The new location is a shell of its past: far smaller selection of merchandise. Now with the clutter of junk, for some reason, the store doesn't feel as welcoming. Walsers never did have competitive pricing, but at least they used to have a very wide selection .

For those of us who remember Walser's at their original two locations on Hawthorne Boulevard, and their next location in Torrance, we know that they have always been a great place to get art supplies. As time moved on, they also became a great place to get your printing and color printing needs fulfilled. Now, enter their next incarnation where they have added a whole new variety to what they have to offer.
Walser's has become a truly unique store. There is no other way than to fondly describe this store as artistically bizarre. Not only do they still have a large selection of art supplies

This is a great store. So many art supplies, and other items, like computer monitors, and vintage gaming systems at great prices. The owners are wonderful, and so are the staff. Greatest art store ever, nothing compares to Walsers. Many great deals are to be had here. I have been here more than a few times and it has consistently been a pleasant place to shop.
