Services
A Rexburg, Idaho native, Glen started Ricks Photo Studio in 1979 out of his apartment while attending BYU. In 1982, Glen opened a store front in the Carillon Square in Orem. In 1991 he remodeled and changed the name of his business to Glen Ricks Photography and in 2002 he moved to his current location, his dream studio, a 100+ year old Victorian home on Main Street in American Fork, Utah.

My family was severely uncomfortable with the comments this man was making towards my preteen and young teen daughters during our photo session. It was frankly outright disgusting. I was really caught off guard and didn’t know how to respond. After considering things a public review of the behavior and a fair warning to other families is what is needed.

Working with Glen and his team was nice. They were efficient and professional. I was a little shocked at the price for a missionary "bronze" package. It was double what our first missionary son was at Brandt photography in Mesa, AZ. I didn't see the value in it for what I received but I paid the $427 for an 8x10 and a page of wallets. Glen said it was heavily discounted. I would not return for a family photo if that is the heavily discounted price of a 15 minute photo session and two pages of photos.

I've only been here a couple times. My daughter's dance class uses this place for their pics. Their work is always top notch. They have been great to work with each year. They always seem very well organized and are really fast with each photo session without making you feel rushed.
As far as their work goes I'd give them 5 stars; however, since I'm reviewing the whole experience I have to give 4 stars because 1. if you don't know what you're looking for it's very easy to drive right past the business. Worst experience with family pictures ever. You will not find a price list on his website because the prices are astronomical ($137 for an 8x10, $263 for an 11x14) You pay big bucks for each and every print. I respect quality work, and expect to pay for it but the pictures were just ok. They required a lot of editing and face swapping to be acceptable. I felt like he didn’t pay attention to small but important details like head position and hand and feet placement when actually doing the shoot. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There’s plenty of competition out there and you could get full

We do our annual family portrait with Glen Ricks. It is one of the few times in a year that we have the whole family together. It is vital that we have a marvelous family portrait taken, and Glen always does an extraordinary job, from our great-grandma down to the youngest great-grandchild. We are delighted to display Glen's pictures of us in our living room. He is reasonably priced and very accommodating. We can count on him.

Glen Ricks in an incredible photographer. You can't believe the things he can do. Families who can't get together for a group shot? No problem. He flawlessly merges groups of people together giving the impression they were all there at one sitting. His touch-up work is amazing. I was in awe of the work he did for the headshots he did for our company. There is a reason he continues to photograph high-profile people and has been in business for several years. He is iconic to Utah Valley and is top notch.

I am absolutely impressed by Glen Ricks Photography in American Fork. My son, who is a senior this year has the BEST compilation of pictures in various settings that have truly captured his personality and talents. I am so tickled with the photos and so is he!
