Contact your insurance company and let them know a claim is forthcoming. If possible, do not make repairs until your insurance company has had an opportunity to observe the damage. Engineering assessment: LCM will visit your site to document the damage and determine appropriate repairs. Prepare cost estimates for re-construction.
Lewis C. Midlam is the founder of LCM Engineering, PLLC. Lew started LCM Engineering in his garage in 1993 and grew it into something he could be proud of. Lew's resume is impressive. He was registered as a Professional Engineer in Florida, Oregon & Washington. Lew was a registered Special Inspector in Florida and Certified in the practice of Structrual Engineering.

I hired LCM Engineering to come back out to my home to re-inspect an exposed structural wooden gable wall that I was originally told needed to be rebuilt by their company. I chose to do this after being told by several contractors that the wall was structurally intact and had simply shifted due to not having any hurricane straps anchoring it to the roof. So the Engineer came out on 7/1/2019 to take pictures and once this was explained, he agreed and seemed certain that the wall would not need to be torn down & rebuilt and that he would have to show the structural engineer. It didn't make
