Founded the firm in 1990 and served as Managing Partner through 2014. Over thirty-five years of tax and auditing experience with non-profit organizations and for-profit businesses. Advisory Board Member, Florida State University College of Business Accounting Department. Served two years active duty in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant (1972 - 1974); ten years duty in the Army Reserve.
Rich is a Tax Partner with Carroll and Company and has been with the firm since 2001, and joined the Tax and Campaign Department in 2004. With over ten years of public accounting experience, he specializes in federal and state campaign finance compliance, controllership, payroll tax, and individual and corporate tax preparation and planning services.
Patty Busboom joined CARROLL and COMPANY in 2000. With over thirty years of accounting experience, she specializes in nonprofit tax reporting and corporate taxation. Patty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, and became an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service in 2008.

I have been a client of Carroll and Company for over 20 years, Rick Carroll was my original CPA and upon retirement Stephen Roeder took over my account. I find both he and their staff responsive, professional , and smart. I highly recommend them to anyone who owns a small business such as myself to employ their CPA services. They have maintained their local connection while they have expanded to their current CPA firm size.

Carroll and Company prepared several tax returns on my behalf in previous years. In anticipation of the 2018 tax year, I contacted them back in October (2018) and I was told they were busy because of the upcoming October 15 tax deadline. I was informed that our tax preparer would contact me after that date. October came and went, but no one called. I then sent an email to our preparer with no response. At the beginning of last week, 2-25-19, my wife sent the request that they prepare our taxes. They finally responded and said that they would not be able to prepare our tax return until summertime
