Services
Sue Loiben has been working with Dr. Ted since opening the practice 28 years ago. Before this she earned her BS in Elementary Education from University of Illinois and then worked in retail management, hotel management, real estate and nonprofit association management. In the beginning, Sue was the dental assistant, front office and marketing manager.
Dr. Ted Loiben (pronounced "LoyBin") grew up in Lincolnwood and is a graduate of Niles West High School. He knew at a young age that he wanted to be a dentist like his father. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago.
When you enter our office for the first time, you and your child will see right away that this is a special place designed for kids. Young children have an enclosed playroom with a train set, toys and current movies playing at all times. A video game area is available for older patients, and parents have a quiet area where they can relax, read or watch TV.
A. Just as a pediatrician treats your child's health needs, a pediatric dentist is trained to treat your child's oral needs. A pediatric dental specialist has received two additional years of training after dental school to specifically treat children. Our office is designed to meet the needs of your child.
Newer dental fillings are plastic compounds that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. These compounds, often called composite resins, are usually used on the front teeth where a natural appearance is important, as well as on the back teeth, depending on the location and extent of tooth decay. Before your child's treatment begins, Dr. Ted will discuss all options and help you choose the best filling for your child's particular case.

The absence of human decency and care, on top of the unprofessional handling of billing in this office is absolutely horrifying... I have nothing bad to say about the doctor or the medical personal - they are good, but nothing out of the extraordinary. So the rudeness and unprofessional handling or simply put negligence of billing side is making this office a non-option for me and my family/friends.
The wife of the doctor who is “in-charge” of the billing does not run proper insurance preauthorization and, as she admitted herself, does not even care to track insurance max limits.... so don’t

Ted and his entire staff are outstanding! They have seen my kids since they were babies (they are both young adults now). He managed my needle fearful son, my daughter who had too small lateral incisors (he bonded them and they are still ok years later - she is 22), and did it all while my kids still actually WANTED to go to the dentist. 2 year through 20, my kids love this office and so do I. Don't hesitate, take your kids to Dr. Ted.

What a wonderful experience. We brought our very young children for their first dental appointment and it could not have gone better. The front desk staff were friendly and there is a wonderful play room for the kids while they wait. Judy the hygienist was fantastic with the kids. She may be the nicest person I have ever met and did a great job on their teeth. Irina and Dr. Ted were also so good with the kids (But Judy is the star!)
