Mistakes and mistakes and mistakes...
Joe seems to like to copy and paste from previous projects. Our plans had typos and things that are not even relevant ... that if carried to completion would actually be disastrous for our project.
These guys love to criticize contractors for small mistakes ... but do not take ownership for the much bigger mistakes they make themselves.

We found out last year that we had big problems with our foundation and needed to do major repair work. That was stressful news, and we were thrown into the world of soils engineers and structural engineers. We searched for a structural engineer and found Joe Otto, of Ireland Engineering, on Yelp. We also saw that he was local (Fremont), and been voted Best of Fremont in his profession. We called Joe and thus began our journey into the unknown! Joe was such a pleasure to work with from the very start. He and his colleague, Garry, worked with our contractor to design a solution for our foundation
