Services
Lawrence County Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal and equine veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Janet Fox is our veterinary technician, and a graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Technology, and has been with Lawrence County Hospital for 32 years. Barbara Parrish is our emergency and after-hours assistant and has been with Lawrence County Animal Hospital for 15 years. Debbie Coulter is our office manager and has been with Lawrence County Animal Hospital for 25 years.
Routine Farmcalls/Housecalls-please call a few days in advance to schedule. We also offer BOARDING for your pets, from cats to dogs of any size. Boarded pets can be picked up over the weekend if pre-arranged and prepaid. For the safety of your pet, current vaccination records will be required prior to boarding.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

I am very disappointed in how Mary Jo wants to run her business. I took my cat in just to get his Booster and rabies shot, the Dr was not there, so the young girll that work there gave him his shots. When I got home I noticed that I was charged $55 for an examination . I called over and asked why I was charged and if the Dr wasn’t even there how could she examine my cat. The girl said that SHE had done the exam (I have no idea what makes her qualified) and told me it was a state law to have a exam to be able to get a rabies shot. I have no respect for any business that likes to pad their bill

These heartless, money hungry, awful vets decided that they weren't going to even attempt to help these poor helpless kittens. They would rather leave these blind kittens to lose their eyesight permanently or even get themselves killed becuase they were too lazy to simply clean off their eyes. I spent less than half an hour wiping their eyes clean but one of them still won't open their eyes. Provided are before and after pictures of each kitten
