He received his Bachelors of Accountancy at the University of South Florida-Tampa prior to joining a local Tampa firm as a staff accountant and gaining his CPA.
Eight years later, David was recruited by a CPA firm in Naples, Florida where he was named Naples Manager of Tax Operations and was responsible for overseeing a merger with a second firm. Soon after the merger, David was named Principal of the firm and his management duties were expanded to include the Fort Myers office as well as maintaining his duties at the Naples branch.

During a consultation today with respect to several aspects of tax law, I discovered David Gruber to be knowledgeable and very competent in each area of taxation we discussed- stepped up basis, how to structure gains, etc.
It has been my experience that CPA might not always mean "expert."
In Mr. Gruber's case, he clearly has a great fix on how to ethically and legally
hold the line on taxes.
