Our founders, H.D. and Lillian Yates Potter, moved from Salyersville, KY to West Liberty, KY in 1941, where Mr. Potter was the first Funeral Director and Embalmer to start a complete full service Funeral Home in the West Liberty area. It was located on Main Street and known as Potter and Company. In the late 1940's, the name of the funeral home changed to Potter Funeral Home.

In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.

Alvin was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His family meant the world to him. Alvin served his country in the United States Army from. He was born. This union was blessed with two sons, John Gregory & Jeff. He was a graduate of Ezel High School and a United States Army Veteran serving.
Our staff is comprised of dedicated and licensed professionals with the experience to answer all your questions regarding our services. Please feel free to contact any of our staff members at any time. Marling E. Potter was born and reared in West Liberty, KY. He is married to Sue Evans Potter, and they have two children, Kerrick Potter and Leah Potter Bush.
