Services
Andy Crossland, the Owner and Founder of Crossland Engineering, received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Energy Systems from the University of Central Florida in 2008. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Hawaii, a LEED Accredited Professional for Building Design and Construction, and is active in the leadership of the local ASHRAE and USGBC Hawaii Chapters.
Our HVAC system designs create indoor environments that are comfortable and healthy for the occupants, cost-effective for the owner, and efficient with resources. We strive to utilize sustainable design strategies wherever possible while maintaining simplicity of design, ease of control and maintenance, and the least possible life-cycle cost.
Water is essential to life and we understand that plumbing solutions in all types of buildings are critical to public health and wellness. We also know that water is a valuable natural resource and we include low-flow and water efficient plumbing fixtures wherever possible. A large amount of energy used by today's buildings comes from heating water, making energy-efficient means of hot water production a top priority as well.
Fully functional fire protection systems are crucially important to the lives and safety of building occupants. We are skilled in designing a wide variety of fire suppression systems for various types of buildings. In cases where the prescriptive requirements of the fire code don't meet the challenges of new or existing buildings we design code-equivalent strategies that are both effective and acceptable to the code officials.
Providing holistic and sustainable solutions for our clients through energy efficiency and responsible management of natural resources is a true commitment of our company.
