Dr. Schmitt chose to follow the example established by his late father and entered the dental profession after obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville in 1985. His undergraduate degree came from U of L as well, while he was a diver on the swim team. He owned a private practice for more than 23 years in Louisville, KY and thoroughly enjoyed the relationships he built there over the years.

Switched to Schmitt Dental to do my Invisalign and could not be happier with the results. If you're looking for a great dentist and a great team you have found it. I have been to just about every dentist in clarksville over the past 20 years and you won't find another team like this. The staff are consistent and about the friendliest people you'll ever meet. The whole crew is amazing. They are pros when it comes to everything teeth. Kind and understanding. I never went to the dentist growing up and by the time I became an adult I was too insecure about my teeth to reach out for help. They explained everything to me in simple terms and Rachel has continuously gone above and beyond. 10/10 would recommend especially if you’re worried about being judged and haven’t had good experiences before. Don’t be worried if you make an appointment far out because you can always ask to be put on a cancellation list and they are awesome about getting you in!

This is my first experience with Schmitt Dental and I will say that they have a very friendly staff that is welcoming. Rachel was my dental hygienist and I will say she is excellent. I have really sensitive teeth and she did a great job cleaning them. I would recommend Rachel to anyone. She was very professional and conscientious.

Absolutely amazing Staff! Dr Schmitt is very personable! Rachel is the best hygienist around and I feel like my husband and I have finally found our dentist after 4 years of searching! Very easy to talk to, answers all questions in full, willing to give you the cheap and expensive options based on your lifestyle and finances! They only want what’s best to keep your teeth healthy!

My crown broke within less than a year of getting it and they refused to replace it, leaving me with a $1055 payment for a new one since they did subpar work the first time. I called the manager and asked if they would fix this and pay partially for it and they refused because I did not trust them to fix it and wanted to be seen elsewhere as it would take them 2 weeks to see me and another 2 weeks to get the crown in the office. I could not wait over a month for a crown. Absolutely disgusting and predatory of military insurance
