Recently got married at 1705 in August. The venue was amazing!!!! We worked with Quann Bradley who went above and beyond our expectations to ensure that everything went according to plan. Quann was there for any questions we had and responded in a timely fashion. Quann was attentive to details and was a very big help. The service there was exceptional, food was great and it was overall a good time had at 1705 East. The staff was friendly and engaged. We couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Vicki and the entire team at 1705 East and Rocky Top absolutely go above and beyond! Our wedding on March 13, 2020 was incredible!!! The venue is beautiful and the food was delicious. All of our guests complimented us for how good it tasted! The bartenders were AMAZING keeping all of the guests happy! We wanted to bring in a large circle arch that was built for our ceremony and that was no problem at all for 1705. They made sure everything ran so smoothly and during the planning process were always available to ask questions or sit down and chat inside the venue and talk about where decorations

Attended a wedding here for a friend's daughter. This used to be a restaurant and it still looked like a former restaurant dining room turned into wedding space which seemed off to me. Not a warm inviting space. No interesting architecture to make it special. They did have a bar which can be used for cocktail hour while the other room is being turned back into a dining room for dinner.

While 1705 Chophouse is not a walk-in restaurant, I've been here for a couple of events (wedding, Competition Dining) and it's always been an impressive showing! Great lawn out front, nice lounge and then a smallish but elegant dining room makes for a great events space! The food catered internally is well above average and service is spot-on.
For the Competition Dining event I accidentally left my credit card in the bill-fold and they were nice enough to mail it back to me and save myself a ride. So yeah, not sure when I'll be at 1705 Chophouse next but it's a great location

I held my wedding reception here in April 2011. Our coordinator was Allison. I am just absolutely thrilled with the quality of our event. We had a 4 hour booking on a Saturday night. From the moment we arrived, the details were all covered. Allison had everything under control, not a thing went wrong.
Before the event, Allison worked with our florist and baker to make sure all centerpieces were placed and that the cakes arrived on time.

I can't speak for a regular dine in experience, because I haven't had that. We used them for our wedding reception. We picked them because everything was fantastic looking and they were super easy to negotiate with. They gave us what seemed like endless choices for our buffett.
The staff was extremely attentive and knew how to serve without being in the way.
They even packed up most of our leftovers and our leftover wedding cake to send home!

I have not been to this restaurant, but I'm looking to see if any of you have been. Also, I just emailed the general manager (found his email though the restaurant's website) and asked him about the prices. This was his response:
"Most chophouses don't advertise their prices do to the fact that Prime meat prices will vary from time to time. Which in return well give a false price quote online. Our steak range from 29 to 55 dollars and they are all Prime meats. We also have several fish and other protein options. We also have one of the best wine lists in North Carolina
