Services
Dr. Blankenship has been treating the children of Pinellas and surronding counties for over 20 years. She and her team pride themselves on providing comprehensive pediatric dental care in a friendly, inviting, child like atmosphere. When you visit our practice, you're not just another smile - you're family!
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
The cost of treatment may vary depending on your child's individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss with you the cost of treatment prior to starting treatment, so that you can make the best choice for your child and your family. Our office staff is always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork.
Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed two to three years of specialty training beyond dental school. He or she limits the practice to treating the oral health needs of infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.
Below are common questions and our answers about the best way to care for children's teeth. We recommend that you make an appointment to see the dentist as soon as your child gets their first tooth. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by six months after their first tooth erupts, or at one year of age, whichever comes first.

First of all, ridiculous amounts of time that are wasted between different parts of treatment or checkup. For example, during treatment that took around 80 minutes only 20 minutes was treatment and the rest was just waiting. Secondly, when my child got a sealant nobody asked about any discomfort or problems. Everyone thought that if something is done it is good enough. The problem was that sealant was unevenly spread and this lead to discomfort. Eventually, he did get this problem fixed, however he still has pain after that sealant. In conclusion, obviously decision about this dental clinic is

All 4 of my girls go to Dr. Blankenship's office, ranging from 2 years old to 9 years old. Each of my children have different needs and they are able to accommodate them all. We absolutely love going to Dr. Blankenship's office. The staff is very kind and patient, they were even able to get my girls in for cleaning on the same day! Highly recommend!

Claim they can treat children with special needs but don't allow parents back. Was told prior to making appointment that I might be allowed back there depending on the technician that would be seeing my son that day... Called the morning of and was told parents are never allowed back. Very upset. Do not claim you cater to special needs kids if a parent is not even allowed back. I am his voice. My son has severe autism and does not speak. Highly do not recommend this dentist if your child has special needs.

Patient and kind dentist. Very personable. The dental assistant that took care of my grandchild answered all my questions and eased my dental concerns. The girl who answered the phone and scheduled my grandchild’s new patient appointment was friendly and pleasant to speak with and was very knowledgeable with my dental insurance questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Blankenship office.
