Neumeister Animal Hospital
Dedicated to providing your pet with high quality preventive, diagnostic, and surgical care in a comfortable, caring environment. Can SARS-CoV-2 infect dogs, cats and other animals? We don't really know. Preliminary evidence suggests that one dog in Hong Kong that lived with a person infected with the virus tested positive multiple times over multiple days.

This suggests that the dog was in fact infected, rather than just contaminated with the virus. Subsequently, a second dog tested positive by RT-PCR. Boarding services are available for our existing patients that are up to date on vaccinations and have a regular exam- and vaccination history from our hospital.
Services
The majority of cats and dogs over the age of 2 have some form of dental disease. During your regular wellness and vaccination exams Dr. Neumeister will take a close look at your pet's gums, check the teeth for plaque and tartar, oral infections, bad breath and other problems. This is important because the signs of disease can be subtle at first.
Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy was still new for use on pets when Doctor Neumeister started using it several years ago. Before that it had only benefited world-class athletes and thoroughbred race horses to reduce swelling, reduce pain, and speed the healing processes.

Dr. Neumeister immediately recognized it's value for the patients at Neumeister Animal Hospital, and started using Laser Therapy to treat post-surgical pain and many acute and chronic conditions.Subsequently Laser Therapy has been helping us to treat a wide range of conditions non-invasively and without drugs.
All of the above speaks for itself. That's why we strongly urge our clients to microchip their pets. A microchip is more reliable than a collar and a tag, because there is no chance it will fall off. The microchip is a permanent ID that links your pet to you. It is inserted with a simple injection and will not move.
Lyme disease is transmitted by the deer tick or black-legged tick and can be found in every U.S. state and Canadian province. Dogs are 50% more likely than people to contract Lyme disease. How could my dog become infected? Ticks and mosquitoes often carry parasites and bacteria that cause disease. They can be transmitted to your pet if an infected tick or mosquito bites them.
Rabies is an acute viral infection that is usually caused by the bite or scratch of an infected animal that has rabies virus in its saliva. The virus travels along the nerves to the brain. It can take days, weeks or months before clinical signs start to show. These could be sudden behavioral changes in temperament, aggression ans signs of apprehension.

If you want to be respected as a pet owner or have confidence that your pet is getting the best possible care, DO NOT COME HERE. The vet only cares about giving you the biggest bill possible.

They are the best price in town, but you can't trust everything they say. They attacked the food I was feeding my cat saying that it'd give my cat issues, and gave me a narrow selection of foods to choose from. I took their advice, and their 'healthy' food plugged my cat up. Instead of suggesting wet foods, they suggested laxatives. I later at petco learned that they're paid to suggest certain brands of cat food. This money rip off tactic didn't please me, so I really wouldn't suggest them.

Best in town. Mary is wonderful and she takes good care of my pups. Saved my Lola's life when another vet misdiagnosed a blockage which resulted in emergency surgery. Money well spent and I will not be going to any other vet

I have been taking my pets here for years. They are very caring and are conscientious about cost. They allow you in the examination room so that your pets are comfortable and Dr. Neumeister always takes the time to explain what is happening, why she is doing what she is doing, and how it may have occurred. The staff is awesome, always friendly, always helpful, and always welcome my dog and cat with love.
