We are not just a Funeral Home but We are a Family Serving Families With A Spirit Of Excellence. Pastor Sammy Townes founded Townes Funeral Home in 2014. He was inspired by his father, Mr. Armstead Townes, who was an entrepreneur and had several businesses that he founded and established to ensure the well-being of his family was maintained.

Mr. Armstead Townes left a legacy and inheritance and he imparted much knowledge to his sons and today they uphold the TOWNES legacy through several different businesses. Townes Funeral Home is one Funeral Home two locations. Pastor Townes founded the Funeral Home with family and the community at heart.
Services
At Townes Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
Our virtuous jewel, Dartha Wren Blackburn was affectionately called "Madear". Her brother Major Wren and Sister Fannie Boyd both preceded her in death. She was united in holy matrimony to Sam "Big Boy" Blackburn. To this union 14 children were born; three sons. She is survived by her mother, Louise Hawkins, but not her father Benjamin Franklin Hawkins Sr. or her brothers Harry Hawkins and Dexter Hawkins.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
