Conrad's Transmission Inc. was founded over 40 years ago by Paul Conrad. In 1968, he built a two-stall concrete block building in New Salisbury and began his transmission shop, naming it Conrad's Garage. Believing in hard work and fostering true talent, he gave a job to Ellis Burn, a blind man who was trained in building automatic transmissions but couldn't find a job because of his disability.
Thanks for taking an interest in the auto repair services offered at Conrad's Transmission in New Salisbury. Our mechanics perform a wide variety of general auto repairs, and we are transmission and drivetrain experts. We work on all domestic and import vehicles, staying up to date on modern automotive technology through ongoing training with ATRA, ATSG, and NAPA.

They replaced my transmission with a Jasper rebuilt transmission and fixed a bad oil leak. We had a trip scheduled and they got it done in time. It worked perfectly, traveled about 800 miles. They also got me new tires installed when they got the frontend aligned locally. Got all this done at a great price! They were very nice to deal with even meet me after hours to pickup my vehicle. I loved their dog also. I would highly recommend this place.

I was so impressed with the knowledge of the staff! The initial estimate for repairs included work that ultimately was not needed. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of this business for saving me hundreds of dollars!! I will definitely be a return customer.

I took my truck to conrads needing it fixed quick since it was my plow truck. They did a awesome job they made it a better and smother running truck than when I brought it in . They fixed it with there experience knowing what type of parts would best fit my needs with what I do with the truck. You can't beat that I even get better fuel mileage. Thanks conrads

Been a while since we've taken a car to Conrad's but people are still the most friendly and honest. Thought my daughter's car was on it's last legs transmission wise since we had just had work done at a dealership and there were still slipping gears. Diagnosed and found the fluid was low and was causing the problem. Also found leaky oil pressure gauge. Mind you we just had the car worked on at the dealer's 2 weeks ago!

Conrad's was recommended to me by several different people. The ladies I spoke with were very pleasant and easy to talk to, but I was not impressed with the service I received. I took my truck in with what seemed to be a transmission issue. They diagnosed the issue and were very confident that the problem was in the transfer case, not the transmission. They quoted nearly $3,800 to replace the transfer case. I didn't want to spend that much money on my older vehicle, and I was not confident in the diagnosis. I brought it home and got a second opinion from another reputable shop. This other shop

Conrad's has experience, friendly service, their work is very professional and great quality, they stand behind their work I would definitely go back again and referee my family and friends to them. it's nice to get in my van and do what I need to do without worrying about breaking down but if I do I know who to call.
